Chapter 1: “This is why women shouldn't handle things put together by men, she is a complete disgrace,” A man sitting at a round table having an open conversation with journalist and experts on national TV says, commenting on the fall of the Ryan's commercial company lead by Lotus “I think you're going too far with your statement Mr. Anchova,” A lady in pink named Anastasia says “Mistakes happen in business, she is responsible for taking this same business from 6 figures to 9, but she makes one mistake and you all are crying women this and that, why don't you analyze this on a professional level and not a stereotypical one” “Give it to women to defend nonsense. It isn't her but her husband who should be credited for all this!” Anchova states with zeal “Give it to men to cover up all the problems with the statement women are infidel when there's better analysis to be made, I mean Lotus made a mistake but you concluding it on women is foolish” another woman spoke up slightly raising her voice “Are you calling me a fool?” Anchova slams the table getting up from his seat, arguments are raised in the studio and everyone is raising their voices. Lotus slams her phone down in rage where she was watching the news, she takes off the earbuds in her ears and slams her steering wheel repeatedly, screaming in anger, she breaths in and calms down, she opens her car door and steps out, immediately bodyguards surround her and guide her into her building, reporters run and surround her guards trying to get her to speak, they ask many random questions, suddenly she halts beckoning a reporter closer The reporter asks “Mrs. Alexander (she is called by her husband's name sometimes) what do you have to say about the missing files, did you leak the personal information of your clients by mistake” “There is no mistake that happens in the walls of the Richard company, incompetent staff are immediately put away, in other words, there was a mole sent from the Lenvic company, this is not to seek pity or the warmth of the public, but this is to sue Levic openly; wait for the Richard's lawyer, we are coming for you.” She finishes and walks away, her guards protecting her, the reporters spurred by her little speech creates more questions to ask, and because of this they try to reach her but to no avail. Lotus steps into her company, the sound of her heels echoing across the quiet halls, her staff are aware of her anger so they step back and bow, greeting her when she passes by, she opens a conference room and garners the attention of the board of directors as she takes a sit at the head of the table “I don't want to hear about how the customer service leaked the information, tell me something new and show me the evidence you got against the Lenvic company” she spoke “Mrs. Lotus, the point of Lenvic bringing up this whole charade was to drop our sales this week so we won't be able to create enough funds to sponsor the events coming up next month, they want to reduce our impact so we won't get into the international market” a worker suggested “Lawyer Shen, I hope you're taking into consideration their motives,” Lotus said “Yes ma'am” “How much damage did this cause?” “Just enough, but we can fix it; it may affect the events for next month” “I don't need to say much, it seems you all have found a solution, don't sack the spy, I want to have a little fun with her, now; this nonsense shouldn't repeat itself. I don't like what I'm hearing on the news” she says and gets up “I don't know what spurred those losers to attack my company, but I will make sure they lose more than what they thought they would, I want them gone” She takes her purse, looks at her secretary Allison, and says “This could've been avoided on your part, don't slack, take over the meeting, let me take my leave” she concludes and walks out of the meeting, her heels clicking steadily on the tile expressing her bad mood, after she leaves the conference room, the staffs take a deep breath letting out their anxiety Her secretary gets up and says “Let's continue shall we?”. Lotus sticks around her office, she looks at her reflection in the mirror, her wavy black hair falling on her shoulders, her office dresses neat and fit, although she feels beautiful at the moment, she would rather be in her wolf form running a forest and getting fresh air or she would rather be in the arms of her husband Alexander, she would rather ease into his arms and let her frustration fade, but who would know if he'd be in the mood to cuddle. With these thoughts and more, she stays in her office till evening waiting for the reporters to go home, getting into her car; she drives home. When she reaches home, she's about to call out Alexander’s name, but is startled by him sitting on the dining table with a grim look on his face; she thought, with the way he looks now he'd never let her cuddle. “Grim day for you too huh?” She says to him “It's about to be,” he says looking at her, she doesn't like the way his eyes judge her but she pushes the thought away and heads to the kitchen, from the kitchen, she rants about her day, after cooking and talking she notices Alexander isn't responding at all, as she drops his meal in front of him she asks “How bad was your day, you aren't even responding to me, or am I being insensitive by talking too much” she says and he scoffs which leaves her confused “I'm sorry?” “Insensitive you say? Why didn't you think of that when you had an affair?” “Affair?” she looks at him with raised brows “What do you mean” “Oh, you want me to spell it out to you!” He says and pushes the food in front of him down, shattering the plate, and making her flinch “What's the meaning of this Alexander, you're scaring me, what do you mean by an affair, why would I stoop that low?” “Have a look” he says dropping a paper on the dining table, she picks it up her breathing getting unsteady; It was a DNA result of him and their son Grace, the paper read no match, she peaks up from the paper and sighs “What is the meaning of this?” “I also thought you couldn't stoop this low, but you're a w***e!” “Alexander what do you mean by that!” She yells throwing the paper on the floor and smacks his arm, she is filled with anger. “Will you keep lying woman!” he demands grabbing her hair “Let go!!” She shouts breathing fast in anger, her voice raising “The divine powers, do you have them?” He suddenly asks “Let go of my hair!” She shouts distressed and yanks her hair painfully from his hand, tears adorning the rim of her eyes “Where did you even get that fake, stupid report from, who's trying to slander me and why are you jumping on the wagon as my husband, shouldn't you trust me?” She shouts “I trusted you!, that's why I checked myself! No malpractice, nothing! Now tell me, Do- you- have -divine- powers?” He asked stressing every word and her heart skipped because she didn't, but she lied that she did, that was the only lie in their marriage “What?, of course I do…” she says but he cuts her short with his gesture of picking a knife from the table, she shields her face thinking he would hurt her with it, she felt Alexander would harm her because he did harm others, but instead he stabs his arm and draws a line through his flesh “heal me!” She uncovers her face and looks at the wound, she wonders if he’s insane “Okay, I can't heal yet…” she confesses but he cuts her short “Because your powers have not yet been activated, right?” she wonders who gave him this secret information “But let me help you with that” he continues, smiling sinisterly, she jolts back in fear aware of the sinister means he was planning. “Alexander no!” she whispers, she wants to say “You wouldn't!” but he doesn't wait and transforms into his wolf pouncing on her, she falls and hits her head on the ground with a scream; though dizzy, she immediately shifts into her wolf to defend herself. His wolf is greater than hers, not because she's female but because she is underdeveloped. He continues attackin g her and she keeps defending till he gives her a fatal blow, she falls, and with a last expression of fear in her eyes; she goes unconscious.
