Late night endeavors

But the bathroom door was never opened. Even if she knew that whoever was inside the bedroom had not left, she was at least grateful for not having an intruder break into the bathroom. So, whoever it was, it at least respected her privacy. When her anxiety eased down, she went on with her nightly routine. She dried and brushed her hair, before braiding it in a simple long braid. She found a bathrobe in her size and slipped in before opening the bathroom door and peeking inside the bedroom. The bedroom was dimly lit from the still burning fireplace and the numerous moons that shone brightly in the night sky. But she couldn't see anyone inside. With newfound confidence, she exited the bathroom, tightening the robe around herself a little more. The bed was undisturbed beside a few things laid on it. With her eyes narrowed and rather skeptical, she approached it, only to now notice that in front of the fireplace, on the couch, someone was sitting, their back to her, drinking from a glass while simply staring into the fire. From the dim light, she could pick up the platinum shine of Aellioah's hair and her curiosity settled almost immediately after realizing it was him. On the bed, there were some of his clothes, his leather tunic and gauntlets. He seemed to be deeply sunk into his thoughts, so she decided against bothering him, despite her anger and frustration coming back, because she simply did not want to deal with him. She didn't bother to move his tunic and gauntlets, even if by the end of the bed there was a gigantic chest which most likely held all of his stuff. She was going to be his maid, wife, lover or anything. She simply moved on the other side of the bed and crawled in, still wearing the robe around her body, since she wasn't offered any other clothes. On the couch, Aellioah downed his drink and sat the empty glass on the coffee table in front of him. His head turned to the side and he watched her with the corner of his eyes as she got into bed. "You're angry," he plainly stated, looking away from her, back to the bright warm fire. "I'm not angry," she countered without any emotion. Aellioah's lips curled into an amused smile and his eyes closed, head leaning back with a sigh. One of his hand reached to rub his face before he sharply got up and made his way around the couch, towards the bed. He opened the chest with a loud bang and grabbed the leather tunic from the bed, tossing it inside, slamming the chest closed again. "I see you're the angry one," Angelique muttered, watching him closely. "I'm not angry," he countered in the same way she did earlier. Angelique rose a brow and then rolled her eyes, turning with her back to him, without the will to engage in such a silly thing. But that didn't last long, because she shiftily turned back around. "You're a complete dickhead!" she hissed at him. "That one is new to your vocabulary," noted Aellioah with a sarcastic voice. "Oh! There's plenty more where that came from!" she announced mockingly. "Why did you bring me here?" she demanded, but Aellioah just simply shook his head and walked away to the bathroom. "Don't pull this on me! You'll never get me to shut up so you'd better answer me!" she continued, hurrying out of bed and after him. Aellioah stopped abruptly and Angelique did not have the time to stop. She almost ran into him. Despite their height difference, she glared up at him with a fierce expression, ready to smack him if given the occasion. Aellioah's hand grabbed her jaw and forced her closer, eyes narrowing on her pretty face. "You'll shut up when I stuff your mouth-" he threatened with a dark spark shimmering behind his eyes, his lips curled into the same devious smirk, showing off his sharp fangs. "-but nevertheless-" he huffed and released her face, turning around and stepping into the bathroom. "-I don't mind your chatter. It brings some life to this forsaken place." His voice changed tunes to a more somber one. When he stopped and turned to her, her heart skipped a beat and she got ready to slap his hand away, but the firmness of his grip let her know she wasn't about to budge him at all. Baffled by his actions, Angelique remained on her spot, staring at him as he walked away. But it wasn't long before she got moving again, stopping in the doorframe of the bathroom, crossing her arms on her chest. Aellioah stopped in front of the mirror, and took a long look at himself before grabbing the toothbrush. "Are you going to simply sit there and watch me?" he asked without looking at her. "Maybe I will. Does that bother you?" she huffed at him, still prickly and uneasy. "Not at all. But you do seem to have a tendency to run away when things get-"he paused and turned his head to her, giving her a side smirk."-steamy, And I am not about to wash up with my clothes on just for the sake of your innocence." Angelique could feel her cheeks grow red and hot again, just like the tips of her ears. She rolled her eyes at him and dropped her arms from under her breast, sighing softly. "Why is it so hard to deal with you?" she muttered under her breath and turned around to walk away. "Because there is no point in talking things with me." he muttered with his toothbrush still in his mouth. "It's very simple. I wanted you here. I brought you here, because I can." Aellioah shrugged his shoulders. "Wow!" she exclaimed, turning to look at him again. "That might have been the most arrogant thing someone has ever said to me!" she continued, overexagerating her voice and expression. "There's plenty more where that one came from." he mocked.
