SHE DIVA

Chapter four.

After the decision to go on a trip,she met Adrian Vance.

Elena was at home, planning her trip, although she wasn't so excited. Her phone rang, she looked at the caller ID,it was her boss. She answered.

"Hello."

"Elena, please I'm sorry to ask you for this favor when you're on a vacation." her boss says in a hurry.

"What is it?" Elena asked calmly

"One of the staff for main rooms couldn't make it today,can you fill in for today?"

"Okay, I'll be there."

The call ended. Elena sighed, she was okay with filling in, but the problem now was that she had to serve in the main room. The main rooms at Almond bar were for people of high class, where rumors about the people with class are heard. It was mostly used by the rich,for secret meetings and so on. It has always been difficult for average people to get a the main room,it was really expensive. Although Elena doesn't brag much but one of the things she was proud of was her work place. It was really famous.

She arrived at work later and quickly got changed,her boss immediately gave her a room number to serve,she rushs off,for some reason the bar was super busy today, maybe because it's the weekend. Elena walked through the hallway,it was truly magnificent,she had rarely came here because her main job was downstairs at the counter, whenever she came there she never walked around,but now, seeing it clearly makes her feel a little nervous, the doors had different colors which was fascinating, but she immediately came back to her senses and looked at the number her boss had given her, when she reached the doorstep of the room she took a deep breath before opening it and walking in. Inside was a man,he seemed to be around her age or maybe older. She walked up to him and bowed in respect, he looked at her and smiled.

"What would you like to have sir?"

"Umm...what do you recommend."

Elena was caught off gaurd but immediately regained her composure. She started recommending different wines in different names, explaining their flavours.

"I'll go with the last one." he said.

"Okay sir."

She left the room and brought the wine to him. When she returned to the room she, opened the c**k and poured the wine into the glass. He took it and tasted it.

"It's good." he said

She bowed with a smile,ready to take her leave.

"Wait."

She turns back and looks at him surprised.

"Do you need something else sir?"

"What's your name?"

"Why do you ask?"

"I might put a good word to the owner for you."

"I appreciate your kindness but no."

She left before he tried to stop her again.

She found him weird and started thinking,

"What was that. If that's what a main room is all about,then they should just buy wine at home and call for a 'pick me up'." she said but on a second thought,she couldn't deny that the main room looked quite private and comfortable.

After that day, Elena decided to cancel her vacation, she wasn't so excited,so she kept coming to work. Now the problem is him. The guy who she had attended to a few days ago. He didn't stop coming there until she gave in,he was able to get her name and her phone number. But that wasn't the end, Elena tried to stay on gaurd,but this guy wanted her off gaurd. His name was Adrian.Adrian Vance. One day he didn't come to her workplace, for some reason she couldn't stop thinking about him,she felt the absence. He came at evening time that day. She smiled when she saw him but tried to hide it,he noticed and teased her throughout, until her shift was over. They talked and acted like friends that day. And for once after going home, Elena considered opening up. And she did.

In a few months,they had become comfortable around each other,or so she thought. They dated,five months,Elena didn't tell him about Kevin and Alane. She didn't tell him about her childhood,she only told him about the present, the times that didn't involve pain and heartbreak. She felt like they all leave because she tells them about her past. She felt like he was different and special. But all of this came crashing down when her fear came true. Adrian had taken her to the beach for some air. As they sat on the sand, Adrian suddenly said something that made her stomach twist.

"Let's breakup."

Elena was surprised, shock and exhausted at the same time.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't want a woman who hides things from me."

"But..."

"No buts. I'm done." he stands up ready to leave.

"Adrian,you can't do this."

"Well i can. And just a piece of advice." he paused. "Men avoid you for you, that's why you're always left.bitch."

And he left. Elena was shocked by his words, it hurt her a lot, much more than when Kevin and Alane left her.

TWO YEARS LATER.

Elena is now 28, still working at Almond bar, although a higher pay. On that evening she was supposed to close up the shop. when she turned off the lights and was about to leave. A group of people broke in, she screamed,she couldn't see their faces because it was dark,they broke things and laughed like crazy people, and then she felt it, they were drunk. Suddenly one of them grabbed her,she screamed but they just laughed.

"Hey girl,you should keep it down or you'll be in trouble." one of the boys said.

"No,i don't think she'll do that." a female voice said.

"Then what do we do?" asked male 2

"Let's kill her." the female voice says again. They all laugh hypocritically.

"Who are you all? why are you doing this to me!?" Elena asked sobbing.

"You don't have to know." Another female says.

"Please let me go." Elena begged.

But they only hit her and dragged her around and then bang, they pushed her too hard, she fell and her head hit the floor, blood flowing on the floor,they all become quiet, Elena's world becomes filled with silence,then someone spoke,a very familiar voice.

"I told you to be careful." the voice said.

She felt it and she knew it was him. Alane.

"I..I didn't know she would...hit her head." the girl who pushed her said.

And then two other familiar voices came.

"Damn,what do we do about this mess now."

"We should find a way to get rid of the body."

At that moment it all came crashing. Kevin. Adrian. Alane.

That was the end,her eyes closed and tears flowed from each side of her eyes.

Everything went dark...

But...

"Elena." a voice called.

"Elena!!" it called again.

Elena opened her eyes, shocked.She looked at her boss standing in front of her.

"What are you doing, sleeping?" her boss asks.

"Wake up, we're busy." And her boss left into the crowd.

Elena stood there, shocked and confused.
