Elena Gray,26 years old,works as a bartender,she is innocent and naive but beautiful. Elena works at Almond bar,a fancy place where different sort of people from different backgrounds and leagues go to. On that day evening, Elena was working the night shift, that's when he showed up,he walked up to the counter and sat. "What would you like to have sir?" she asked with a professional smile. "A glass of whiskey will do." he responds in a flirty way. Elena hands him a glass of whiskey. "Elena right?" he asks as he takes a sip from his glass. "How do you..." "Oh, I'm a regular, I've heard the owner call you that a lot." "Oh." "I'm Kevin Rodger by the way." "Oh. Nice to meet you Mr. Rodger,i hope you visit us a lot." Kevin chuckles at her words. "I'm not asking for a marketing promo Elena. And you can call me Kevin,not Mr. Rodger, that sounds cheesy." "Okay Mr....I mean Kevin. "That's good. So Elena dear,why work at a bar when you're this beautiful?" "Well life isn't all bed and roses. There are times when things don't go your way." "I guess you've lived a tough life." "Something similar." "You seem interesting Elena." "Well thank you Kevin." "What do you think?" "About what?" "Friends?" he says as he stretches his hand forward for a handshake. Elena looks at his hand and is hesitant at first but took it. They both smile. In a few weeks,the two become close and Elena starts to open up to him,she tells about how both she and her mother were domestically abused by her father who became a drunkard due to economic struggles,her mother ended up running away without taking her or looking back. All those while she suffered the wrath of her angry father. She was able to put up with it until after highschool,then she applied for admission in a far city, she ended up getting accepted with a scholarship,but even after running from home,it wasn't easy to adjust to the new environment,but she put up with it. Kevin shed tears at her story. This made her more relaxed and assured that someone feels and shares her emotions. They both go deep in their relationship,both physical and emotional. But then after three months of dating,Kevin shattered the trust and believe she had. "Elena, let's break up." he said in a calm tone. Elena looks at him surprised,her hands start shaking beneath the table. "Bre... break up?...why?" "Let's see.." he says as he adjusts in his seat. "I'm bored." "Bored?" "You're no longer fun, I'm tired of this." "But Kevin, that's impossible...we...we...we have something special going." Kevin laughs hysterically. "Special? Elena that's all in your head. I'm tired, let's just end this." "Kevin, I...I...I opened up to you...I told you what i couldn't tell other people...." Elena says teary eyed, voice now cracking. "I never asked you to." "How could you do this to me Kevin." "Well Elena dear, I'm not ready for sob stories,so I'll get going,see you never." And with that Kevin left, while Elena cried, feeling broken and used.
