SHE DIVA

Chapter two.

After the breakup, Elena who used to be bright, became dull,like a shadow. When working she only focused on her job, whenever someone tries to flirt with her she gets flattered but when she thinks about Kevin,she shuts them out. The breakup had a huge effect on her life.

But at that moment someone new came.

Elena had retired for the day. On her way home,it started raining unexpectedly,she had no umbrella,no shelter. At that moment,the memories and time she had spent with Kevin came rushing. She bent down and let the tears flow along with the rain. But then something covered her,the sound of rain drops, were only heard hitting something else not her. She looked up to see an umbrella over her head and a man standing in the rain while holding it.

"It's better to be under the roof than under the sun. Although right now it's the rain and the umbrella." the stranger says with a smile.

"Who..." Elena tries to ask but is cut off.

"Here,have it,my place is nearby. I hope we meet again. Stranger." He says as he hands her the umbrella. Then he runs off.

Elena was stunned and left speechless.

"That was weird." Elena says.

The next day,at work, Elena is working when the stranger from yesterday walks in, she is surprised,but he only smiles.

"You're...." she tries to say.

"The stranger from yesterday. Fancy seeing you here miss."

"How did you find me?"

"Umm... honestly,i didn't look for you,i only came for a cocktail and you seem to work here."

"Oh... did you know me before?"

"No, why?"

"Well you gave me an umbrella,so..."

"That was me being kind. You looked troubled."

"Thank you."

"Do you mean it?"

"Huh? of course i am."

"Then you should repay me."

"How?"

"Mmm...how about you buy me a meal?"

"When?"

"You seem busy,so how about dinner tomorrow?"

"Okay."

"By the way, I'm Alane Rodrigo."

"Elena Gray."

"Sure,see you tomorrow, Elena."

The next day,they both went for dinner,Alane was a calm person,a little too honest, during the dinner,he did most of the talking while Elena smiled throughout,she tried not to show it but the truth is she felt so much at ease,it was the first ever since Kevin.

On that same night,after returning home,Elena felt like something heavy was starting to feel light. She smiled once again.

After that day,Alane used the excuse of collecting his umbrella to take her on a date. Elena was trying to be cautious but her feelings were betraying her. She liked Alane,he never pushed or try to force her on anything,that made her more comfortable. And soon he confessed his feelings to her,she agreed to think about it for one day before agreeing with a yes.

But this was just another beginning.
