THE UNFATHOMABLE LOVE

The First Day(7)

After dinner they returned to their room, all the girls kept their plates in their respective rooms and gathered in Amaryllis’ room. All of them were asking each other which mess they opted. Finally the conclusion was that all of them opted for the same mess. Then all of them discussed the events from the morning. Everybody was giving their opinion.

Amaryllis sat on her bed and looked at each one of them and sighed. She really didn’t like people gossiping and thought when all these people could leave. Cheryl understood her predicament and gestured to her to come out as even she was feeling uncomfortable. Cheryl took the bottle and left and Amaryllis excused herself. They both finally breathed fresh air and shared their opinions about what had today. They were discussing each and everything. They took their sweet time and discussed. By the time they returned all the other girls left. Penelope informed them that their phone was ringing.

Amaryllis and Cheryl rushed in and saw a few missed calls. Amaryllis called her parents and told them about the day. She explained what were the rules and many more things. She even told them about the separation of the mess and told them that she had opted for.  After a long call Amaryllis returned to her room and decided to take a short nap.

After sleeping for about an hour she woke and saw it was time for the evening snacks. Maria was still on the phone.. (OMG amaryllis really wanted to give her a ninety degree bow for her patience and capacity to talk on the phone for almost 5 hours.) Penelope and Cheryl were still asleep. Amaryllis freshened up and called Penelope and Cheryl to wake up. Amaryllis waited for them and finally Maria’s sweet time on the phone ended. All four of them went to the mess had their snacks and returned to the room.

Amaryllis went out as usual and was checking out the shops inside the hostel campus. She went out and bought a few notebooks and other stationeries required. Then she went back to her room, opened her cupboard and kept everything inside the shelf.

While locking her cupboard she received a call from her high school friend. She picked it up and proceeded to answer. She sat in the lawn and chatted with her friend. She had a long conversation with her friend. She saw all her roommates coming after taking a bath. (Amaryllis was the only one in her room who used to bathe in the morning as well as evening; others will only take bath once a day).

The weather was very humid leading to more sweating and sticky conditions. Amaryllis ended her call then went inside the room with her roommates. Cheryl noticed it was time for their dinner. They were going to a different dining area as they all opted for mess K.

When they reached there they saw a few seniors and a few first years gathered there. As soon as the mess open’s before serving the food they had to pray and read a promise verse and it was a must. So the seniors were praying and Amaryllis stood behind quietly praying silently.
