THE UNFATHOMABLE LOVE

The Second Day(2)

In about half an hour all of them gathered near Amaryllis room, Amaryllis asked Penelope to call Ann and Tingu by the time she locked the door. All of them were walking towards the mess. They were all giggling and smiling by cracking jokes. 

Even Amaryllis liked it. After coming out of the hostel entrance Amaryllis looked up and saw a beautiful sky with scattered clouds. She asked everybody to look up. As they were looking up, Amaryllis told them about the morning view she saw while walking towards the mess. They all entered the mess, took their plate and washed it before taking the food.

 Amaryllis took a glass of milk for her and went to the table where the food was kept. She saw her roommates and the friends ( you can’t say she is close to them; it's just she knows them and doesn’t mind them calling friends for the time being. She knows them for only a few days and the knowing is actually a long process.) She went to the table, sat with them and had her breakfast. It was steam cake with banana and curry.

 Amaryllis had her fill so did all on the table. The milk was still hot. Amaryllis kept the milk on the first table and went to wash her plate and after keeping her plate in the rack went to the table, took her milk and proceeded to her room.

On her way she took a sip from the milk and was listening to what all others were saying. Amaryllis and her roommates bid good bye to all others and told them to meet at the entrance of Ann’s room before leaving. Amaryllis gave the keys to Cheryl and asked her to open the door. Cheryl opened the door and all went in and Amaryllis kept the unfinished milk on her study table and took out her phone which was in charge. She saw she had few missed calls and it was from her parents. She took the phone and called her parents while sipping the milk. As soon as the call went through she could hear the anxious yet annoyed scream of her mom.

 Amaryllis kept the phone away from her ears and told her mom to calm down. Then she explained that she went to mess and the mess is not in the same building. Amaryllis mom nagged her that she should keep her phone always with her and asked her to carry to the mess also. Amaryllis assured her. Her mom asked her what she had for breakfast. Amaryllis told her the menu and told her she would call her later as she was getting late and she had to get ready.  She kept her phone and started getting ready. Before they left Penelope asked all to stand and pray for the day. She prayed so did everybody and then all of them were locking their cupboards and were ready to go. 

The announcement was made by the caretaker to assemble near the entrance. Amaryllis took the lock and locked her room in the meanwhile Maria and Penelope went to call the others. Cheryl was standing next to her and asked,” Do we have to go to the same place for assembly?’ Amaryllis pondered and replied that it was announced that we have common assembly and further instructions will be given to them later. All of them gathered near Ann’s room and were talking and giggling and the caretakers asked them to proceed towards the hostel entrance.
