Lazily resting in the sun, my warm tan soaks it in transforming into energy which is now buzzing over my skin.
I’m different to everyone, my parents are aware but would never utter a word about it. It’s not normal for my family to speak. Superficial relationships only.
Right now Mum is reading a book in her tent, Dad and my sister , Jade, have taken off to the river for a swim.
I’m luckily let to charge in the sun and appreciating being left to myself. I can’t stand their fake s**t, I like real conversations!
Buzzz.
A reminder that I had forgotten to turn my phone off. Getting it out of my budget denim jeans I read the message from Becky.

I do an air fist pump and throw the phone towards the tent. I’m glad to have something to do tonight and looking forward to escaping this lame camping trip. It’s only lame because it’s not real. We are still on our dairy farm and can still see our house from where Mum told me to put the tent up. I’m definitely too ex old for this.
I’m not ready to leave the sunshine yet however and relaxed back into the well worn quilt I had been sitting on.
