Trixie : Hey Sal, I need to go talk to my boss. Why don't you head home and I'll catch up later."
Sal: That's all right. I can wait.
Trixie: It'll probably take a while.
Sal: I don't mind take your time.
Trixie: Ok well, wait out here.
Third person POV
Trixie was nervous as she walked to Mason's office. Antone told her that Mason wanted to see her. She knew it wasn't a request and she also knew what it was about. She had been tasked with finding Carra. She didn't know what was so special about her that everyone seemed to want her. She had honestly tried to find her, though. Using every contact and calling in every favor. All for nothing. Someone was obviously hiding her.
Mason:. There you are. I thought you were avoiding me. You wouldn't do something like that would you?
Trixie:. Of course not Mason. I've been looking for the girl like you asked.
Mason:. Oh really? Then where is she? I don't see any girl here. All I see is a used up vampire w***e.
Mason's voice got deadlier with every word. Trixie bowed her head in fear. Mason backhanded her across the face and told her to bring him the girl or suffer the consequences. Trixie knew all too well what the consequences were. She'd seen too many people who disappointed Mason be tourtored until they ended up in a body bag. She wasn't going to be one of them.
Sal:. What happened to your face. That son of a b***h hit you, didn't he? I'm going to kill him.
Trixie:. No wait Sal. Just drop it. I'm fine.
Sal:. No! He could have hurt the baby.
With that Sal stomped off to confront Mason. He had no idea what seated him. He was already subdued by two men and doubled over in pain when Trixie caught up to him. Mason asked if this trash belonged to her. She cringed and said no. Sal's eyes widened in shock. Mason started laughing.
Mason:. He keeps saying something about a baby. Are you pregnant with his child?
Trixie:. I was, but I had it aborted. I don't have time for a kid. I have a career to think about.
Mason:. Same old cold-hearted Trixie I see. I thought you were going soft for a minute. Guards take him to the dungeons. Make sure his death is slow and painful.
Sal kept struggling against his captors. He thought this all has to be a bad joke. He loved Trixie. Surely she wouldn't betray him like this. He screamed her name until his voice was to hoarse to make a sound.
