(Skyler Brisend)
'In the deepest parts of the forest, there lies an old asylum. Its burnt brick walls hide the dangers that lurk threw the night. If you put your ear up to the wooden front door you could hear the screams. The screams from the children, teenagers, and adults that burned alive in that old asylum many years ago. No one knew who started the fire, but ever since then no person has ever had enough courage to go inside since the last incident.' I stopped reading the article that I was reading on the computer and thought, 'What happened to that boy? Did he die?' Shaking my head, I got up from my seat and headed out of my bedroom door. Making my way downstairs I could hear a horn beeping from outside, a frown came upon my face when I heard my brother yell, "I'll be right there just let me get something!" His voice rang down the hall as he yelled, the sounded of his bedroom window slamming shut filled my ears.
About five minutes later he came down in a rush, but once he saw me, he had a devilish smirk plastered on his face. "Hey mom I am taking Skyler with me, is that okay?" Tyler yelled to our mother as he still looked at me, "Yeah just don't come home too late!" she yelled from the kitchen, 'You got to be kidding me he's not taking me anywhere!' I thought to myself, but before I could speak, he grabbed me by the wrist and headed towards the front door, with me struggling to get his hand off of my wrist.
As soon as the front door opened, the cool night air hit my face making me shiver a little. I was glad that I was wearing my light blue skinny jeans, my white tank top, my sweatshirt that said 'NEW YORK' in big bold letters, with my cream-colored scarf, and some slip-on tan booties.
After a while, I stopped struggling and just walked behind Tyler, once we stopped by the car my brother's football friends got out. His grip tightened but slowly letting my hand fall to my side, I was about to run till a bag was on top of my head. My hands began to go behind my back and the feeling of my wrists being tied. Strong arms rap around my waist and the floor didn't exist under my feet anymore, thrashing my body in every direction till I encountered a hard surface. Pain rushed through my left shoulder and the sound of something closing leaving me in the dark.
I could hear car doors opening and closing, then the sound of the engine starting up and the car moving. I suddenly realized I'm in the god dang trunk!
After what felt like hours of me kicking, my body hitting the trunk door, the car had finally stopped. I'm more pissed than scared at this point, I heard the trunk door open and someone yanking my arm so I would get out. After being shoved on to the ground the trunk door was slammed shut and I was picked up by someone else. I heard someone speak from behind me. "So, what are we doing with your sister again Tyler?" I couldn't match the voice up with anyone, so I was totally clueless. "Well, i***t if you were listening in the car, you would understand that she is not supposed to know who took her! But now that you said my name she knows!" Tyler's voice comes out in a 'duh' tone and I was at the point of snapping, he took off the bag. 'And his teachers say he's a genius. HA! What genius is he to take off the only thing that keeps me from running?!' I thought devilishly, but just my luck Tyler had to speak. "And don't try to run away, you know I won't come for you if you die." Tyler's words meant nothing; he's said worse. 'Like I'd care! At least I'd be away from you,' I had thought. And with that he began walking without a word, soon enough the others got the message and started to follow behind him as he walks on the long creepy trail ahead of us.
What felt like hours of walking we finally stopped at a sign that said, 'DON'T GO IN THE WOODS'.
I could hear Tyler laugh quietly before stepping over the old rusty chain that held the sign, everyone copied him, but I struggled to put my foot on the chain. After almost falling over the chain, someone grabbed my waist and throw my feet over it. Looking at the person it was Luke, he didn't seem happy, so I just looked ahead and continued to walk.
Ten minutes later we came to a huge rusty gate, "We're here boys! Help me open the gate!" Tyler yelled at him, my mouth opened in fear, amaze, and anger. All the guys walked through the gate after it was opened, unfortunately I was dragged alongside them.
We walked up towards the old, abandoned asylum and we kept walking till we reached the door. I didn't know what was happening until my hands were cut loose, Tyler opened the front door, took my arm and thrown me inside. He closed it behind me leaving me on the floor, after the room stopped spinning, I wobbled to my feet and banged on the door.
After what felt like days I quit, knowing they wouldn't come I leaned against the door and slowly letting tears slip down my cheeks.
