I had no idea how long it took me to get through all of the gates and to be approaching the Lily Lake, it was impossible to tell when time had a completely different meaning in the afterlife. But it was a relief to see the still waters stretching out in front of me and announcing my arrival, just like it always was. Though I wasn"t going to pretend that it was anything to do with the fact that my journey was almost over. A short trip across the lake might be all I needed in order to get to where I needed to be, but it was the company I"d have on this leg of the journey that would make it for me.
