CHAPTER 2. BREAKING THOSE WALLS

Oscar arrived at his safe house it a small house compare to other of his assets, getting down from the car, Alita smile as she inhale the breath of fresh air.

"Why are you smiling?" Oscar ask, amazed by her behavior

"I was sitting in the car for nearly four hours, off course am happy we finally arrived, am hungry is there food inside the house?!"

"Seems like someone has forgotten she was abducted by me, get inside first, I need to make some calls" and without another word,she rush inside like she was familiar with the place.

Oscar brings out his phone dialing Kyle and after two rings, Kyle spoke.

"Boss!! Where are you?"

"I took her to the safe house, just in case we were followed, the last thing we need is anyone knowing our hideout"

"So what do you intend doing with her?"

"I will keep her at least three days,and if I don't hear from Darren,then we kill her. For now,secure the warehouse,be at high alert, I will be back tomorrow."

"Okay boss, also your dad wants to know the status of our operation"

"Tell him I said it none of his business"

"He wants to see you"

"Kyle! Tell him I answer to no one, no one at all!!"

He hangs up, place the phone in his pocket and walks into the house.

Oscar was so suprise to see Alita in the kitchen cooking so nonchalantly like she was at home with no worries at all.

"Hey!! What are you doing!!" He ask so angry, his face had become cold as he move close to her but she didn't flinge even an inche.

"I told you I was hungry, and there is not even a single food here, good thing I found some noodles, it will be enough for the both of us. How about we go shopping tomorrow?!!" She ask beaming with smiles.

Over the years Oscar has had to deal with ladies from different cartels, he has dated countless of women with no string attached but never has he met such a woman. She was place as a sacrificial lamb by her own family to be killed by the enemy and yet she enjoys the company of the enemy so comfortably like he was a friend she had known for long.

"Alita!! Be careful how you act here, don't provoke me or I might be force to kill you!!!"

"Did I do anything wrong?" She ask so innocent, by just mere looking at her,his heart melted which got him more angry

"That enough!! When you are done here, take the room by your left upstairs"

"Are you going somewhere? Are you going to leave me here all alone?"

"Am going nowhere" he spoke coldly trying to control what his heart was feeling.

"Aren't you going to join me for dinner?" She ask as she dish out the noodles and place it on the dinning.

"Go ahead, I will be outside" he picks up his box of cigarettes and left.

It been quite a long time Alita sat down to have a meal, she felt at peace,not scared of Mrs rose coming into the kitchen to see her eating the left over,not scared of hearing the banging at night at the door by her molesters, she was free as the wind,and looking at Oscar through the window, the most dangerous man in new York, who has killed countless of cartels yet instead of feeling scared,she felt more secured than ever.

AT DARREN'S MANSION

" Why the hell did you leave Alita behind!!!" Shouted Darren the moment he came out from the safe and was told about the situation

"Sorry boss, I was only following ma'am order"

"Darling I was trying to split us,so we don't get caught at once........"

"Ooh shut up!! You were trying to save your greedy ass and you know it" Darren spoke looking worked up

"Well am not any different from you who left your family and flea for safety"

"Don't taste my patience woman!!! Alita is like a daughter to you, couldn't you be fair to her even these once. I promised her mother I would take very good care of her, and now I can't tell if she is dead or alive"

"Boss! I think there are more important things we need to handle now. Oscar will come back for our Cartel and we need to be ready when he does"

"Okay. Gather all our men, Rose you can leave now!" Darren spoke trying to look as calm as possible.

After Alita had her meal, she was exhausted,it been long she had a night rest, she walk to the room Oscar had instructed her to use, getting there, she fell on the bed and dooze off.

Oscar spent hours trying to check every Cartel in touch with the TIGER' TEETH. He was determined to kill Darren but he had to be careful not to make enemies of other powerful cartels.

Oscar took over the VENOM CARTEL at 15 years, after two years of being the leader,he became popular,for not just his strength but also his intelligence and connection throughout the whole new York, but after his mom was shot by Darren,he became as bloody as ever, he didn't hesitate to kill anyone that crossed his way, he took down most of the powerful cartels and the rest made alliance with him for their own safety.

The night was still young, Oscar wonder around the safe house trying to get his head to think straight. He suddenly heard sounds coming from Alita's room, and as he rushed upstairs, Alita was asleep but seems to be having a terrible nightmare.

"..........let me go!!!.........nooooooo. please!!!!! Stop you are hurting me!!!!!"

She cried between her sleep,and as tears fell from the side of her cheek,his heart shattered to pieces.

"What kind of past have you being through, Alita!!" He spoke as he stroke her hair trying to calm her down, but she kept screaming clinging on to his chest,he held her close, still stroking her hair and whispered

"Shhhhh......it okay, you are here with me now, no body can hurt you,no one at all, I will protect you" those words worked like magic, her breath slowly began to normalize and then slowly she fell asleep.

The next morning, Alita open her eyes to see Oscar sitting on the sofa close to her, she has never felt so secure and happy before, she quickly rush to the kitchen to prepare something but there was no available food stuffs. Looking around the kitchen so faustrated she quickly rush to the land line hung at the back of the counter and without wasting much time, she ordered for pizza.

Oscar open his eyes to see Alita was no longer on the bed,he rush to the bathroom but she was not there, feeling a little worried, he rush downstairs and was relieved to see her at the garden watering the flowers

"What are you doing?!!" He ask suprise to see someone who had been so traumatic last night looking all cheerful now.

"Oscar!!!" She called informally like they have known each other for so long

"You are awake, let me guess..... Your neck feels sour, that what happens when you spend the night on the sofa, you know I always had to go through that until the point where I got use to it" she spoke with her hands busy trimming the flowers and looking so carefree

"You must be hungry, what would you like to eat?" He ask still feeling suprise

"Don't bother, I already ordered for pizza, it should be here any moment now"

"You did what!!!" He spoke looking so serious.

"With which phone did you order it?

" The landline!!!"

"What the f**k Alita!!! Get inside now!!!" He shouted bringing out his gun as Alita rush inside.

He move outside the gate, scanning through the whole area but it was quiet, he rush inside and quickly smash the telephone. Alita looks at him all scared and confuse

"Am sorry Oscar.........I didn't know........."

"Shut up! Shut up!! Just shut up Alita!!"

The door bell rang and his eyes quickly scan through the door.

"Who is there?" He ask coldly

"Pizza delivery!!*

"Alita go upstairs and don't come out until I tell you to do so"

" But it just the delivery........"

" Damnit Alita!! Do as I say" she quickly rush upstairs, looking at him from the balcony.

Holding his gun in his left hand,he place it behind his back and open the door with his right hand.

"Sir your pizza!!" The delivery boy spoke handing him the box of pizza, Oscar brings out a dollar cheque from his side pocket and hand it over to him, without saying another word, Oscar close the door.

"You can come down your pizza is here" Alita quickly rush downstairs,and snatch the box of pizza from his hand.

"I told you, it just a delivery guy. Come join me"

" Go ahead am not hungry" Oscar spoke and headed for his room but she suddenly held his hand.

" You had nothing since yesterday,am not taking no for an answer, if you won't eat it,then I will have to feed you" and with that,she held his hand and force him to sit down. She grabs a slice of pizza, placing it right in front of his mouth Oscar couldn't fathom what kind of a person she waa, but as he opened his mouth to grab the slice of pizza right there he realized he now has a weakness and Alita Darren was his weakness.

Seeing she has won him over, she smile victoriously.

"You are not a bad person,why does everyone talk about you like you are a beast"

"That because you don't know me" he spoke grabbing another slice from the box

" I don't know you long but I can tell that behind all those coldess lies a warmth inside, you just don't want the world to see it" she spoke placing her arm on his face.

"Why were you screaming last night?!" He ask and for the first time, she looked serious

"I was screaming?!!"

"Yes you were. Are you going through some past pain?" As he ask,she could see concern written all over his face

" Am not, maybe it just a nightmare"

Oscar knew she was hiding her pain but didn't want to pressure her about it, he cleans his mouth with the face towel and gets up

"I have to leave now"

"You are leaving me!!"

"No!! Just needs to handle a few things,I will be back before you know it, I will send my men over to look after you"

"I don't want your men, I want you"

Those words of hers were dealing greatly with his emotions, he didn't know what got into him, he move close to her, held her head and place a kiss on her forehead as she beam with smiles

"I will be back. I promise" not looking back at her again,he walks out of the door for fear that if he looks at her again,he might not be able to go back to the Cartel, back to his responsibility.

His feelings for her seems to be getting stronger but he is Oscar Colby,he believes there is nothing he can't handle.

The moment Oscar arrived back at the cartel, he summoned every one there.

He sat coldly on his chair, the air was intense and hot, slowly gazing through each and everyone of them before speaking

" Our attack at Darren's mansion wasn't fruitile, that a language I hate to use,we have his daughter with us, it been 24hours and they are still silent, these could only mean one thing. They are planning to lunch an attack. Kyle make sure our weapons arrives today and are ready for use"

"Yes boss!!"

"Tighten the security,I have a bad feeling about something. Dismiss them and meet me at my office"

"Okay."

Oscar left for his office, the moment he sits down,he brings out his laptop and began googling about the pyton cartel.

"What going on boss?!" Kyle ask the moment he entered,he could see how stressed Oscar look yet he won't even freshen up.

"Kyle! What do we know about the pyton cartel?!"

"Pyton? That a Russian base cartel why are you interested about them?"

"Darren is in touch with them, get me everything you can about them, from their bank transaction, phone records their contact even their personal life, I want to know everything about them"

" Okay. Anything else?"

" Send two of our men to the safe house Alita is there alone"

"Alita?!! Who is Alita?" Kyle ask judging from the tone Oscar had referred to her like a friend

"Darren's daughter off course!!"

" Yes boss"

As Kyle left the office,it seems like his body was slowly betraying him. He heads over to his master's bedroom, deep himself into the hot tub trying to relax.

Few hours later, he fell asleep inside the hot tub but was brought back to reality by Kyle who rush in.

"Boss!! "

"Can't you see am trying to relax!!"

"Sorry about that. Not that it of much interest to you, but I just taught you should know"

"Know about what?". Oscar comes out of the tub,rap a Robe around himself and was now standing before Kyle.

" Seems like Darren knows about the safe house, while you were out, four men manage to enter the building........."

"What!!! Alita is she hurt?!" Oscar ask trying to hide his concern.

"Seems like they were there only for one reason, they were trying to molest her sexually......."

"Did they touch her!!!" He ask with so much fire in his eyes, Kyle was so suprise to see him react like that about her that he couldn't even answer him

"Kyle!! I said did they touch her?!!!!"

"No!....... No boss spiral And Jack got there just in time" as Kyle spoke he clearly saw how relieved Oscar was to hear she was fine.

"Where are the men now?"

"Still at the safe house, what should I do about them?!"

" Get the car ready they will meet a fate worst than death.!!!!"
