I Gave You My Heart

From The Beginning

Beep...Beep...Beep...Beep...I groaned as I rolled over and grabbed my phone hitting the dismissed button to the alarm. I looked at the time and it was 4:15am. I sighed as I got up and went to shower and brushed my teeth and  get ready for work. I made a quick lunch as I left out for work. I had to drive 45mins to work. By the time I made it to work it was around 5:30am. 

I sat in my phone going through my social media as I waited until 6:00am. Once 5:55am hit, I put my phone in the grove department and grabbed my keys as I went inside the work place. I walked through the metal detectors and everything as they cleared me to come inside and go to the backroom. Once they told us we were good to go to work. I went to my area of the work place.

I worked for security at the moment protecting the new iPhones that had just came out. Anyways my job was hiring more security as I stood around talking to some of my co workers laughing and goofing off. when my supervisor walked up with two guys in my section. 

"Stay right here, I'll be right back" He told the two dudes and walked off as I looked at them and smile. 

"Good morning, I'm Kayla" I introduced myself as they look at me.

"I'm Shawn" The taller one spoke as I looked at him. He was real tall maybe 6'2 and around 170 pounds. 

"Dylan" The shorter one with the afro spoke as I looked at him. He was light skinned and around 5'8. I nodded as I looked at them.

"So is the job easy"' Shawn asked as me and him started making conversation while Dylan stood off to the side quiet as day. I told them how the job was easy and what we had to do and so on.  Eventually my supervisor came and got the two guys and took them to another section where they would be working. 

I went back to work bored as the day dragged on when lunch finally came around. I saw the Dylan guy again. I looked at him as he sat alone not doing anything and not eating.

"Hey" I spoke as I sat behind him and he turn and looked at me and nodded.

"Hey" He spoke as I looked at him and we started making small conversation. I asked him how the job was going and to tell him to bring lunch next time and what not. Letting him know if he had any questions he could ask me and I'll help him as best as I could. 

Finally 2:00pm came around and it was time to go. I went to sign out and left out going toward the exit when I saw Dylan sitting by the door. I stopped walking and smile at him as I looked at him. He looked up and smile.

"Do you need a ride" I asked him being nice as he looked at me and smile.

"Yes, if you don't mind"' He spoke as I shook my head.

"Come on" I told him as we walked out the building and went to my car. We got in and I turned my phone on as I gave it to him to put his address in the GPS. Once he gave it back we left.

We made conversation the whole way to his house as we laughed and joked. It was actually nice. I pulled up to the apartments he stayed in as he got out and thanked me for the ride. I nodded and put my address in and went home.
