Chapter 13

Previously in Hunted by the Gangleader 

“What the hell is going on?!” I asked Jerry.

He walked up to the girl in chains.

“Who are you?” Jerry asked the girl.

She looked up. She looked at me. She had green eyes and brown hair. She looked at Jerry with cold eyes that made me shiver.

“Who are you?” I asked. 

“I’m the Demons daughter.”

Grayson’s POV

I was standing outside Adrian’s office kinda scared he was gonna kill me or something like that. 

I decided to man up and face the motherfucking devil. 

I knocked on the door. 

Who knocks on the devils door? 

Stupid I know.

I sat down after Adrian said ‘Come in’. Adrian asked me about and may I quote “Seth’s Killer”. It bothers me that he calls her that. 

I can’t tell him her name can I?

She would be mad, well she’s already kinda is, right?

I decided to stall for a bit.

After Flashback*

After I told Adrian how I met her I looked up to see his confused face. 

“Hold up what the f**k is this ‘Demon’?” He asked almost as confused as I was that day.

“I-I don’t know, we never found out what it was.” I lied. He can’t know. 

“Uh huh.” He squinted his eyes at me.  

I gulped.

Shit. 

“You sure about that?”

“Yep. Yep. Mhm. Yep.”

Oh dear god I’m the worst liar in the f*****g world. 

“Grayson!” 

“I can’t, l-I can’t tell you.”

“Why the hell not?”

Uh I don’t know maybe because we’ll f*****g die!

“I can’t boss. It would put the gang in danger.” He raised his left eyebrow at me.

That’s one way of putting it.

“I don’t know if you already know but the gang is already in danger by being the best gang in the f*****g world!!!”

“I know but...” I was cut off by Adrian yelling at me.

“But nothing! Tell me NOW!” His face was redder than a tomato.

Breathe. I kept telling my self.

“Look boss I will tell you if you are willing to calm down and let me explain who he is and why he’s so f*****g dangerous. Okay?” 

Please say no. Please say no. Please say no.

“Fine I’ll calm down just f*****g tell me!”

I took in a deep breath in.

“This ‘Demon’ is not a what but a who.”

“Okayyy...” He said motioning me to keep going, and also kinda confused.

“He turns out to be the leader of a very big organization of dangerous people.”

“Be more specific. I’m a leader of an organization that happens to be very dangerous.”

“His organization is made up of hundreds maybe even thousands of assassins. They call themselves the League Of Assassins.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa hold up you’re saying that there’s hundreds of assassins running around the world killing people?”

“Yeah I guess, we’ll no. I don’t know! I don’t completely know everything about them. T-They think their purpose is to hunt down and kill people that they think are a danger to society and the world, and I’m pretty sure they’ve done that for many years, resulting in thousands of deaths.”

“Okay I get what you’re saying, well little bit. Oh and also for the hundredth time today what the hell is her name!!!”

“She calls her self Killer Frost, I-I don’t know what her real name is.”

Oh please god let him believe that.

“Okay so we got no name only an alias. Great. So what does Seth’s killer have to do with all this s**t?”

“Well like she said she’s the demons daughter, and the demon is the leader of all these assassins so she’s the daughter of an assassin. That’s all I know I swear!”

“So are you saying this ‘league’ killed Seth?”

“I don’t know. I doubt it, she hasn’t talked to her dad in a long time...I think.”

“You sure about that?”

“I don’t know I haven’t seen her in years!”

“Okay so there might be a bunch of assassins coming after us, and there is Seth’s killer out there free.” He stands up from his chair.

“Yep sounds like that’s it.”

He sighs running his hand through his hair. He turns around, looking at the wall.

“We need answers. And I think I know how to get them.”

“How?” 

Now I’m confused.

He turns around.

“You’re gonna talk to Killer Frost.”
