As we drove up the long driveway toward what could only be described as a mansion, my mouth dropped. I couldn’t believe my mom’s boss is living like this. The grand entrance, flanked by towering columns and meticulously manicured gardens, made it clear that this was no ordinary home. My mind raced with questions about what it must be like to live in such luxury, surrounded by opulence at every turn.
“Who do you work for, Mom, a drug dealer?” I blurted out, half-joking but also half-serious, as my curiosity got the better of me.
My mom chuckled softly, shaking her head, "No, sweetheart, just a very successful businessman."
The closer we got, the more nervous I seemed to get. I felt extremely underdressed suddenly. I knew it was just nerves. I took a deep breath, reminding myself that confidence was key. As we stepped out of the car, I could see the door opening. A tall man in a tailored suit emerged, his confident smile immediately easing some of my anxiety.
"Welcome, welcome!" he boomed, extending a hand toward me, and I couldn't help but be drawn in by his charismatic presence. After him came his gorgeous family, one member after the other. I don’t think I’d even seen a family with genes like this. They appeared as if they had just stepped out of a fashion magazine. Each individual exuded a distinct charm, ranging from the striking gray eyes of the daughter to the warm, inviting demeanor of the mother, evoking a mixture of excitement and a sense of discomfort.
“Stacey and Xi, this is my wife Angel, our daughter Karman, and our baby boy Tj. My oldest was right behind us. He and his friend must have gotten distracted."
"Xion, come on, son,” he yelled back into the house.
I took my time admiring them up close. It was so unreal. The entire family was giving Black excellence. His wife is absolutely beautiful, and their daughter was her twin. This was noteworthy, as the mother appeared to be no more than 30 years old. Baby Tj was just as adorable as he wanted to be. He was gazing up at me, his eyes shining with stars. It was a moment filled with warmth and joy, and I couldn't help but smile at the pure happiness radiating from them. As I knelt down to meet Baby Tj's gaze, I felt an overwhelming sense of connection, as if we were sharing a secret that only the two of us could understand.
“Hi,” he greeted me in his soft, melodic voice. I could see the wonder in his expression, a reflection of dreams yet to come, and in that instant, I knew I would do everything in my power to nurture that spark of curiosity and joy. My heart instantly melted.
Without thinking to ask for permission from his parents. I stepped up to him and asked if he’d mind me picking him up. He looked up at me with wide, trusting eyes and nodded eagerly. I scooped him into my arms, feeling the warmth of his laughter bubble against my chest as he squealed with delight. I could instantly smell his baby scent. It reminded me of the innocence and wonder that filled childhood. As I twirled him around, his giggles echoed in the air, creating a moment that felt timeless and pure, a brief escape from the worries of the wI'd always loved kids, and babysitting was how I'd make my own money during the summer.ummer.
“That’s interesting, right, babe?” I heard his mom ask her husband. I glanced over to see her smiling, clearly enjoying the scene unfolding in front of her.
“Absolutely,” he replied, his eyes sparkling with affection as he watched us.
“He’s normally very antisocial around new faces…” I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride swell within me at their approval. They were observing me with fresh, curious eyes. I could sense their curiosity. As if they were trying to decipher the layers of my personality that had been hidden until now. It was a refreshing feeling, knowing I was making a connection not just with their son but with his family as well.

I blushed from embarrassment at her gushing over me with pride. While I was smiling down at Tj trying to hide my embarrassment, I felt eyes on me. Their eyes were intensely focused on me. I looked up to find four new pairs of eyes on me. They belonged to two new faces who had just arrived; curiosity was etched on their faces. I could feel my cheeks heat up even more as I realized they were all watching my interaction with Tj, their expressions a mix of intrigue and amusement.
The son and friend had made their grand appearance.
“This is my son Xion and his friend Cole. Beans is his preferred nickname. Guys, this is Stacey and her Xi…”
I barely could register their names as I drooled at the sight of Xion. His gray eyes that he inherited from his father held me captivated. He was extremely tall and athletically built, exuding a confidence that was hard to ignore. As he flashed a charming smile in my direction, I felt a rush of warmth flood my cheeks, making it difficult to focus on the introductions.
He immediately drew me in, just as I had been with baby Tj. However, this was a distinct experience; it was lusty and sinful. I knew I shouldn't feel this way, especially so soon after meeting him, yet the chemistry between us crackled in the air like electricity. My heart raced as I imagined what it would be like to be closer to him, to explore the undeniable attraction that simmered just beneath the surface.
His sun-kissed bronze skin looked soft but rough at the same time, if that makes sense. The more I observed him, the more I yearned to reach out and touch him, to bridge the distance that felt both exhilarating and terrifying. I could almost feel the heat radiating from his body, drawing me in, as if we were two magnets destined to collide.
What was truly happening here? I’d never felt this way before. I’m definitely losing it right now.
He was giving off so much big d**k energy. Although I never thought of myself as having a type, whatever it was is no longer it.
Grrr
The sound of a growl brought me out of my lusty state. Was it a growl? I’m definitely tripping.
Come on, Xi, get it together, girl. I felt awful because I’d missed some of the conversations while staring at Xion. He smirked at me as if he knew all the things that had just run through my mind. His eyes twinkled with mischief, and I couldn't help but blush at the thought of him catching me daydreaming about him. I cleared my throat, trying to regain my composure, but the atmosphere was charged with an undeniable tension that I couldn't ignore.
“Let’s head in, dear. We can continue talking inside; I’m sure Stacey and Xi are ready to eat,” Ms. Angel stated while turning to lead everyone into the house.
Xion and Cole moved to the side of the door since they were blocking the entrance to the house. As I passed them, I was hit with warmth and a strong scent of something that smelled like fresh air mixed with a masculine woodsy scent. I stopped, closed my eyes, and sniffed. Letting out a slow breath, I instantly felt like I was home; it was strange.
When I opened my eyes, I realized that Xion was standing exactly close to me and that the warmth and scent were coming from him. His presence enveloped me like a comforting blanket, stirring something deep within. I took a small step back, feeling a mix of surprise and intrigue as I met his gaze, which held a flicker of curiosity mirrored in my own.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly, breaking the silence that hung between us. I nodded slowly, my heart racing as I tried to process the sudden surge of emotions that his proximity had ignited.
"Yeah, I think so," I whispered, my voice barely above a breath. The intensity of the moment felt electric, and as I hesitated, I wondered if I should take another step closer or retreat further into my own world.
I looked around the vast living room area. There were pictures of the family all over. It was cozy and homey in here. I loved the way that Ms. Angel had the common area decorated. It was giving springtime vibes. It wasn’t overly feminine or masculine. You could tell a family lived here.
“Thank you again, Mike and Angel, for inviting us to dinner. Your home's decor is amazing. Spring is mine and Xi's favorite session," Mom mentioned while glancing around, just like me. I instantly fell in love with the vibe of the house.
“I’ll give you guys a tour after dinner if you’d like,” stated Ms. Angel, smiling, pleased with Mom's comments and reaction to her home.
When we came to the dining table, I got excited. They had baked fish and spaghetti with a green salad for dinner. Once the aroma hit me, my stomach growled loudly, reminding me that I hadn’t eaten all day.
“Well, I guess that’s our sign to dig in.”
Everyone laughed at Mike's comment while I wanted to disappear. I slapped my hand over my face, trying to hide my embarrassment.
“It’s okay, beautiful; I’ll feed you,” came a husky voice in my ear. The warm, minty breath engulfed me and made the hair stand on my arms. Xion circumnavigated me, winking as he grasped the finger of my free hand that wasn't supporting Tj's weight.
He led me to the table and pulled out my chair. As I sat down, I could feel my cheeks flush hotter, a mix of confusion and intrigue swirling within me. Xion's playful smile was infectious, and for a moment, I forgot about my worries, captivated by the way he seemed to effortlessly command the room.
Lord, how am I supposed to eat with him sitting so close to me?
“Pretty eat?”
I chuckled at Tj's earnest expression, realizing he was genuinely concerned about my appetite.
“Yeah, I guess I could manage a bite or two,” I replied, attempting to sound casual while my heart raced at the thought of Xion’s gaze lingering on me. Despite my initial anxiety, there was a certain thrill in knowing that Xion's attention was solely focused on me. Perhaps the pressure of his presence would push me to embrace the moment and enjoy our time together, rather than letting my worries overshadow it.
