Josephine's POV
"I'm Josephine." I replied to him, "And thanks for this."
Ace starts to wrap the cloth around my ankle, "No problem, Josephine."
I stare at him, "So, do you always help people you don't know?"
He finishes tying it, "Nope, just the ones who are clumsy."
"Hey! Stop making fun of me!" I said out loud.
"Ahaha, we should be friends." Ace says as he stood up.
"But I don't even know you." I replied to him.
"You will soon, but for now." Ace said and put his hand out to me, "Consider this the first and last meeting, until fate allows another."
I look up at him and take his hand, "I doubt we'd meet again."
He smirks at me, "I'll arrange it."
I chuckle softly, and I slowly got up with the help of his hand, "Alright, sure."
I stood up closely to him. I felt him staring at my face. I just gave him a weird look before limping my way towards the woods.
He started to follow behind me, "Will you be okay going home by yourself, Sephy?"
"Sephy?" I asked him.
"That's my nickname for you now." He says with a soft smile.
I laugh, "Alright, and yeah I came here with a friend."
Ace looks at me, "You're here with someone?"
I nod, "Yeah, my friend Cassandra."
"I should go." He says before walking away.
I watched as he walked before shouting, "Thank you!"
He waves his hand up in there air as he walked further away from me. I smile a bit to myself. I'm kind of glad I have a few friends here now. I thought all Royals were like Pierce, but I guess that's not what it seems. Kind of hope to see you again, Ace.
"JO!" Cassandra shouted before running to me.
I chuckle softly as she quickly stops before falling, "Yes?"
Cassandra bends down with her hands on her bent knees to catch her breath, "I'm so sorry for leaving you alone for basically an hour."
I push her forehead softly, "It's fine."
She laughs before looking down at my ankle, "Ughhhhh my brother is going to kill me noww."
"Ahahaha, I doubt he cares much." I said to her before limping forward.
Cassandra suddenly sniffs me, "Uh, you have an unfamiliar scent on you."
I pause, "Well, there was an Alpha here who helped me? I assume he's a royal?"
Cassandra widens her eyes with a hint of worry, "We've met all the royals before, but he's not from here. I don't think he's a royal. Judging by his scent, he really isn't from here."
I stop to think a bit, "I guess there's a new wolf in town."
"I'll have to let my brother know" Cassandra said before helping me walk, "Let's get home."
I nod, "Okay."

Ace watched as the two wolves walked into the woods. He looked to his side to see Ronan carrying a huge buck. Ronan sets it down, then looks up at Ace.
"Leader, you have a familiar scent on you." Ronan says suddenly to Ace.
Ace smirks, "I really like this scent. It's sweet."
Ronan stares at him, "This scent smells like Lupus' scent."
Ace widens his eyes before looking at Ronan, "Lupus as in the one who slayed the eldest prince of the royal family?"
"Yes. I knew Lupus. I was there when they killed each other." Ronan says, "I was the one who brought Lupus home."
Ace chuckles softly, "Watch when Pierce finds out who his mate's father was. I'll be waiting for Sephy to come my way when he pushes her out."
Ronan bows his head down before handing Ace the horn of the buck. Ace drags his meal away into the woods with Ronan following quickly behind.

Josephine's POV
Cassandra and I reached the doors of the palace. The guards quickly let us in before asking questions about my ankle. I told them I was alright, but they rushed away to get the Royal Shaman. Cassandra and I laugh a little before walking up the stairs.
"CASSANDRA! What happened to her!?" Arthur shouted at us with his arms crossed, when we reached the second floor.
Cassandra rolls her eyes, "As if you care, she is fine."
Arthur scoffs, "Your brother wants to see her."
Cassandra chuckles, "Pierce can kiss my ass, tell him he should've cared for his mate instead of f*****g an ex first love whore."
Arthur widens his eyes at her reply. I look at her shocked, but I didn't care. I love that Cassandra defended me. I liked to talk back too, but honestly it wasn't my place to, yet. Arthur let's them through before walking down the stairs. Cassandra leads me up to the third floor.
Once we got there, an angry Pierce stood at my door. I felt my whole body spike with fear. Cassandra rubs my arms with her hand softly, and reassured me that I will be okay. I smiled at her before glaring at Pierce.
"Where were you two?" Pierce said with an expressionless face.
I look up at him, "The woods."
Pierce looks away from me, "Cassandra. You know better! You're supposed to take guards, me, or Arthur with you!"
Cassandra chuckles, "You were busy f*****g a w***e, and I wanted to save Josephine from staying in a lowly palace."
Pierce glares at her, "WATCH YOU'RE f*****g TONE!"
I growl softly, "Shut your f*****g mouth Pierce!"
Cassandra and Pierce looked at me with wide eyes. I swallow down the lump in my throat nervously. No, I can do this. I will not be treated lowly. I can say whatever I want to.
"What?" Pierce asked me.
"You heard me. Shut your mouth." I started to say louder, "Cassandra and I can protect ourselves just fine. You may be my mate and her brother, but you have no say in what we decide to do."
Pierce angrily looks at me, "Then what's with your ankle."
Cassandra was about to answer, but I quickly interrupt, "My foot got caught in rocks and I pulled it out, which resulted to this."
"Tsk, come inside your room." Pierce says to me, "Let's talk."
Cassandra grabs my wrist, "Pierce, don't do anything rash. I will not hesitate to come and challenge you."
Pierce rolls his eyes, "I won't."
I smile to Cassandra to reassure her before walking into the room with Pierce. I limp towards the bed, then I feel his eyes stare holes into the back of my head. I shoot him a glance.
"So, are you okay?" Pierce suddenly asks me.
"Aha, as if you care." I chuckle sarcastically.
Pierce growls, "Drop the f*****g attitude! What is your problem!?"
I sit on the bed, "What's my problem? WHAT'S MY PROBLEM!?"
I glare at him with so much hatred. Pierce walks over to me before grabbing my ankle. I wince a little in pain. He gently strokes it. I stare at him. Damn, these wolf hormones! I can't stay mad at him!
"I smell another wolf on you." He suddenly says in a deep voice before looking at me with his glowing eyes.
