Chapter 47: Stefanie

1578 Words

Davina's POV A week after Raine had left, I could not deny the fact that I missed her. Our friendship dynamic was truly weird. Before I betrayed her, she was the one to always seek me out, chattering every time with me even when I didn't always return her energy. On the other hand, the dynamic between Lucien and I was tense as f**k. I do try to avoid him, but there was only so little I could do when we live together. It didn't help that my body had no resistance to him, and I would always melt with a single touch. I was in my room, engrossed in one of my books when someone knocked on my door. My wolf perked up when she smelled Lucien. And my heart skipped. Everything seemed to be against me. But I still held on to my decision. I would only get s****l with him, but I would never commit.
