Chapter 17

I tried so hard to punch and kick him but he just quickly dodged all of my attacks like they are nothing. I haven't said anything to him since we started my training. He does all the talking. He explained what we will be doing for my training today. I listened to him but I just kept silent the whole time he is explaining things. I kept looking at him whenever he's not looking at my direction. Observing his actions after what happened yesterday. And it's just so unfair because he is acting like nothing actually happened. Like everything is normal. While here I am, I couldn't sleep at all last night thinking about it and what will happen next. And just when I got myself into sleep, there goes the nightmare. This is so annoying. I still keep on attacking him while he is just dodging all my attacks and seems like he is playing with some kid. I don't know why he is not attacking me but I could feel his stares. "Ahhhhh!" A put all my strength into that last punch and it seems like there's a strong wind that came out of it but he just used his two hands to shield his self. "Why are you not fighting me?!" I asked him out of frustration. I sat on the ground so I can catch my breath. I am almost out of breath but he just stands there like nothing. "Do you really think I would attack you knowing all the punches and kicks that you're throwing at me are out of frustration?" he said. I avoided his gaze because what he said was right. "If you are fighting out of anger, I assure you, you will lose. A while ago while you're attacking me, I could see that anger in your eyes. Even if I am just an ordinary human who is not experienced in fighting, I can defeat you if I wanted to. If you will let your anger consume you in a battle, you will never win." I stayed silent. "What are you angry about, Shana?" he asked. I felt that pain in my chest again which made me frustrated. "Was it about yesterday? Because I kissed you?" he asked me with a serious expression. "I already told you. I will make you fall deeply in love with me." "Are you bored, Gallens?" I asked him while trying my best to stay calm. "Because if you are, go out and play with someone else. Stop playing with me." "Did I told you I was just bored that's why I decided to play games with you? I already told you, I'm serious and it's not because of boredom. Haven't you thought about my feelings when I wanted for you to feel the same way?" I was left speechless with what he said. I mean, I never thought about him liking me. "Yes I always joke around you. I like seeing you frustrated but do you know the reason why?" he asked as he looked directly into my eyes. "I also don't know why at first. It's not in my personality to joke around and get other people's attention. But whenever I'm with you, I stated getting to know the reason why I'm being like this around you. That's why I told you I will make you fall in love with me as madly as hell." I looked away. What should I say to him? That he doesn't need to do that? Because...because... I'm already in love with him. But does he really feel the same way? "Is being numb one of the mortal traits that you learned? Are you numb, Shana? Are you numb that you didn't even notice that slowly I started liking you? And before I knew it, I actually already love you?" I look at him again. My heart is beating so fast and I felt that pain in my chest again when I saw that lone tear fell down on his cheek. "I love you, Shana. I hope you feel the same way," he whispered enough for me to hear it. I look down and turn his back. "Stand up. Let's just continue our training tomorrow. I hope tomorrow, you're more calmer and focus on our training." In a blink of an eye, he's no longer there. I was left alone, still couldn't process what he just told me. All I could hear is the loud beating of my heart. He loves me? I didn't even realize that I was already crying while thinking about what he just said. He loves me. I couldn't help but smile with that thought. - Kyle's POV Did I just confess? Damn this is humiliating. Why did I even cried in front of her?! When I left her, I went straight to my secret place. I am the only one who knows this place. Outside the Terrae kingdom, I built a tree house that I often stayed at whenever I have a problem or I just need a place to stay to clear out my mind. It is a safe place because this is also part of the Magus that was not invaded by the Dark Wizards. All the plants that surround the tree house are still lively and beautiful. "Damn," I shouted out of frustration. Now that I told her about my feelings, what's next? Will she hate me more? Will she avoid me? "Damn you, Shana." I sighed and lie down at the bed. I might just spend the night here. - A rustling sound woke me up. I get up slowy, trying not to make any sound to look outside the window. From there I saw a woman in black. She seems like she's training all by herself. It's been so long since that last time I stayed at this place and it seems like I am not the only one who knew about this place. I wanted to see her face to know who she is but the black cap that she is wearing is covering it. I could see how she kicks and punch the leaves that are falling out of the tree. She moves slowly compared to me and the others but if I will get hit by those kicks and punches, it will surely cause some injuries. Her defense is also strong. These are the things that I didn't see on Shana earlier. She is just not ready yet. I hide myself quickly when she looked at my direction. "I know someone is there. Why don't you show yourself?" I felt my hands turned cold when she spoke. That voice... Her voice is familiar but I couldn't remember where or from whom did I heard that voice. Since she already knew that she's not alone here, I went out and show myself. I jumped out of the window and faced her. She steps back a bit and fixes her cap so I couldn't see her face. "I'm sorry. I did not mean to interrupt and watch you secretly. I'm just shocked that someone else knew this place," I told her but she steps back again when I step forward. Is she afraid? "You don't have to be afraid. I'm not a dark wizard," I assured her. "Go away," she said and turned her back at me. I really wanted to see her face because her voice is so familiar. I step forward and force her to look at me. "I told yo-" I quickly removed her cap to see her face. My lips parted as I look at her pick up her cap and wear it again. My heart started beating so fast. "J-jillian?" I couldn't believe my eyes. The only reason why Shana came with us and the reason why she's trying her best to get stronger is actually right in front of me. --
