Chapter 14

I held Kyle's hand tightly as we walked inside the cave. It's actually very dark and the only thing that lightened our path was the small ball of light that Kyle made. "Careful," Kyle said as he helped me walk through a narrow path, but it was so slippery that I slipped. Good thing I did not fall, as Kyle managed to hold me. He held my waist and I could feel his breath on my face because he was so close to me. There is that fast beating of my heart again. Maybe I was just so nervous that I could have fallen? We started walking again. Kyle is now leading the way but I am still holding his hand because I was so afraid of slipping again and I could not help but think that there might be some dangerous creatures waiting ahead of us. The formation of rocks inside the cave were actually beautiful. However, Kyle said that the center part of the cave is actually beyond beautiful. I also learned from him that he and his father always came to this place when he was just a child to train him. "We're almost there," he said. I can already see a small light ahead of us as well. A few more minutes, we had already reached our destination. I looked around the place with my parted lips. There is a small lake at the center and the clear water seems shining as the sunlight glimmers inside the cave. "It's beautiful," I whispered, but then shook my head. "Wrong. The word beautiful is an understatement to describe this place because it's beyond that," I corrected myself. "This is where my Father used to train me and teach me how to use my power. It's very relaxing and can make me calm. Also, whenever I train here, I become much stronger," Kyle said and faced me. "That's why I thought, once you mastered every element, particularly your main element, we could continue your training here. I know it will help you a lot to become much stronger." "That would be great." "We call this Cueva del Agua," Kyle said. I closed my eyes and just tried to listen to my surroundings. It was so peaceful here. The only thing I could hear was the few birds flying around inside. "I do have a question," I started. I opened my eyes and found him looking at me. "I learned from Elysse that Master Jed would just teach me how to control the water element, but anything I need to know on how to use it in a battle will be taught by you? Why can't he just teach me how to use it in a battle as well? He is your master, right? Shone's too," I asked him. "It's because of Jana's vision," Kyle said and sighed. "Father is not meant to teach you how to fight using the water element. In Jana's vision, if father teaches you how to use water to fight against the dark wizards, you are meant to make a big mistake that would make the whole Magus World fall into the dark wizards' hands. So we thought, Father could teach you how to control your power. Not just the water element, all of them. Then I will teach you how to use them in a battle. My element is water, but I could teach you some techniques to use the other 3 elements and the spells that Elysse will teach you. I am that great." I can't help but roll my eyes because of how arrogant he is. I remember they told me that Jana usually has some visions of what is about to happen. Sometimes Jana tells them about her visions, but most of the time she doesn't because of the danger that they might ruin the future. "That make sense. But why do I feel like I only have a short period to train? I know nothing about this world and definitely nothing about my power. I know that for now you only want me to master my main element, which is water, but I feel like one month is to short to do that? I still need to learn some spells and martial arts too." "It's because of the Eclipse," he said, which made me frown. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "It is destined that the power of the dark prince or dark princess will awaken in the Eclipse." My lips parted. "If there is a Lumen King, which is your Father, who ruled the lumen wizards. There's the Dark Lord as well, who rules the dark wizards." "So he has a child," I said and he nodded. "But you don't know if it's a son or a daughter." "That's right. Rumour has it that it's a daughter who is the same age as you. And we are doing our best to get you ready for her. By the time that her power is awakened, the Dark Lord will die. This is the curse that the lumen ancestor cast on the dark wizards. And we don't know what will happen once her power is awakened. We don't have an idea how powerful she can be." It made me shiver. What if she's more powerful than me? I can't even use my full power because I no longer have time to learn the other elements or master them. "Let's go?" Kyle asked and held his hand out to me. I gave him a questioning look. "What is it this time, Gallens?" I asked with a frown on my face and he sighed. "Can't you just call me by my name? You always call me by my surname," he complained, which made me want to smile, but I stopped myself. "Can't you just call me by my nickname?" I asked him back, which made him smirk. "Why? Shana is your real name. It's much cuter than Shanel," he said with a small smile. "Your name is ugly like I said before. So I don't want you to call by it," I said, frowning at him. He raised an eyebrow. "Why Kyle is a beautiful name! It actually means 'handsome' in Gaelic," he said, frowning too, but then a small grin formed on his lips. "Or maybe you don't want to call me by my name because you like me? Does it make your heart beat faster just by calling my name?" he asked, teasing me. My mouth parted. How did he know that? But hell no! I won't admit that because I don't like him at all! "Thick face! I will never like an arrogant, jerk and narcistic person like you!" I shouted out of frustration but he just smirked again. "Really?" he asked and pulled me closer to him. He wrapped his arms around my waist. Our lips almost touching. I can feel his breathing and, just like me, it seems like he is having a hard time breathing. He is just staring at my eyes and his lips parted when his gaze shifted to my parted lips. "You may not like me now," he said. His lips lightly brushed mine as he talked and I couldn't even push him away! "But Shana, I will surely make you fall deeply in love with me." He let me go and kept his distance while I stood in front of him like a statue. "You're as red as a tomato," he said, teasing me that made me go back to my senses. "You jerk!" I kicked him and he didn't see it coming. Since he is just a few inches away from the lake, he fell into it cold water. "Shana!" he called to me angrily. "Serves you right!" I said and stuck out my tongue. He kept on cursing but then, he suddenly looked at me with a menacing smile plastered on his face. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked suspiciously. Before I could run for it, it was already too late. I'm already trapped inside a ball of water which is moving towards the lake. "Damn you, Gallens!" I cursed at him and he just laughed at me. --
