I spent the next few days nursing a drink and my hand.
I hadn’t been able to capture the men that had wanted to destroy me and my family.
Naveen… I understood what his twisted mind wanted.
Devan though… if he had gotten out of prison, why would he go help Naveen? Why not leave the country? He had been exposed and Zara was dead. There wasn’t anything left for him. What could he possibly get from staying… unless his goal was to just get rid of me. But even that would get him back his position in the family or any of the wealth associated with it.
