(Jay’s POV)
As soon as I stepped inside, I froze. Naveen was standing over Amara, his hand hovering dangerously close to the monitor she was connected to. He didn’t look at me as I entered, his gaze fixed on her still form.
“Naveen,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady despite the surge of fear and anger coursing through me. “What are you doing here?”
He didn’t respond immediately. When he finally spoke, his voice was eerily calm, devoid of any emotion. “This is all your fault, Jay. Everything that’s happened to Amara is because of you.”
I clenched my fists, forcing myself to stay calm. “Naveen, you need to step away from her. This isn’t going to help anything.”
