Loose Ends
(Jay’s POV)
The drive to my parents’ house was filled with a mixture of dread and determination.
The recent events had left our family in shambles, and I wasn’t sure how we were going to pick up the pieces. But today, I needed to confront a ghost from our past that had resurfaced in the worst possible way: Devan.
As I pulled into the driveway, I saw Devan pacing on the porch, looking frantic. Seeing him here filled me with anger and a deep sense of betrayal. No matter what Devan was now to me. He was always a son to my father, and he betrayed him. Amit Chahar deserved it, but my mother didn’t. Not any of the things that Devan or his mother did to her.
