The morning air was crisp as I stepped out of my car.
Today was the day.
Arthur and I were set to meet with Keith, the head of family security, to finalize our plans to take down Zara.
As I approached the entrance to my office building, my mind was already racing through the details of our strategy. I barely noticed the few early morning commuters and the familiar security guard who nodded as I passed.
All I could think of was Amara and how good it had felt to kiss her and hold her. We belonged together and we were close to being rid of Zara, so we could start to fix the problems between us.
