THAT QUEEN

CHAPTER 3

‘’It was my pleasure to dance a beautiful lady like you.’’ A Marquess of Klinton Empire said. 

I smiled at him and bowed down for respect. He looked at my face as if he was analyzing me. I just chuckled because it seems that I am familiar with him.

‘’Have we met before, My lady?’’ I shook my head. Maybe my brown hair is making him unsure. 

I had black long hair before but I decided to colour it to dark brown and cut it shorter. 

‘’Do I look like someone you know?’’ He cleared his throat and fixed his tie. He nodded.

‘’You look like the missing Queen of Spade Kingdom.’’ He said that made me silent. 

Queen of Spade Kingdom huh? ‘’You must be mistaken, Mister. I am just a normal commoner and a doctor here in Amatourum Empire.’’ I said.

He chuckled awkwardly and nodded. ‘’Yeah. I’m sorry. Well, it was great dancing with you, Mademoiselle.’’ He kissed my hand before leaving. 

I massaged my neck and my hand, Feeling numb. I walked to the second floor where I saw the familiar veranda facing the gigantic garden and I can clearly see the bright moon.

'' What are you doing here? '' I looked at my back and I saw him. He is wearing a white suit, and a golden chain that symbolizes his authority as a Duke, The Duke of Spade Kingdom.

I keep on looking at him memorizing his face again. I closed my eyes as I felt him close to me.

He still makes my heart flutter like a teenage girl like I am back then.

'' Amanda, What are you doing here? '' He asked, I opened my eyes and I stared at him and I smiled at him.

'' Your mother invited us. I can't just say no to her. '' I told him. It approached me so I walked away from a little. He coughed and put his hands inside his pockets.

'' It´s been 5 years. '' I heard him whisper. I peeked at him and he´s looking at the maze garden in front of us. I smiled bitterly.

'' How are you? How was the Spade Empire? '' ‘'Still the same. '' He shortly answered.

I suddenly remembered when he bought me in one of the cities in the Spade Kingdom, It was a wonderful experience.

''Where are we going to Itzan ?! '' I shouted at him and the man just smiled at me and started the car!

'' I still have class Itzan! I can't! I have to go to class! My teacher is a terror '' I exclaimed. He just chuckled and took my hand and kissed it.

I blushed and withdrew my hand. I just sighed and put my bag in the backseat. I can do nothing because I know that no matter how hard I try on this man, I can still do nothing.

I drank the juice next to me and suddenly the car stopped, I looked around and I saw Itzan get off. I went down and saw the bodyguards talking to him, I approached and the bodyguards bowed at me.

"Is everything ready?" Itzan asked them and they nodded. We entered the airport with the bodyguards. Yes, Airport.

Even though I was still confused, I just obeyed. Itzan also held my hand and did not let go of me.

We entered a Gate, It's private and we went down to the Ramp where there were a private airplane and bodyguards in front.

'' Kristoffer. '' '' Itzan. '' The man grinned and fist-bumped at Itzan. The guy looked at me and his lips quivered up.

‘’He is my friend and my business partner, he is a marquess in Britannia.’’ I slightly bowed at the Marquess.

‘’It is an honor to meet a Marquess from Britannia. I am Amanda.’’ I presented myself. The guy smiled and he took my hand to kiss it when Itzan pulled me away from him. 

The guy chuckled and I looked at Itzan who is glaring at him.

'' Is this her? '' He asked. "You have a lot of explaining to do to Auntie and Uncle." He smiled at me and Itzan just nodded and the man led us inside the airplane. I was amazed because it was spacious and amazing!

I sat by the window and I looked around. Itzan sat down next to me and held my hand again.

'' You like it? '' He asked as he put the seatbelt on me. I nodded at him and smiled. I saw how his blue eyes twinkled because of my answer. I blushed because of the thrill I was feeling.

'' Where are we going? '' I asked him once we were in the air. We ate a sandwich served to us earlier.

'' Spade Kingdom. We're gonna visit Mamá '' He said as if nothing happened and drank his juice.

I gulped and smiled with delight. '' Really ?! Will we see Auntie?! '' I said. He laughed and nodded.

'' You seemed excited. Did you miss her? '' I nodded. '' I missed her especially her baked cookies. '' I smiled.

I met her mother a year ago, The very day I answered her. He was so happy that he suddenly picked me up and took me to their house where his Mom and Dad were talking to some businessmen in their living room. I even blushed as he introduced me to them.

I looked at him while he's busy munching his favourite tuna sandwich. I suddenly smiled. What did I do to deserve this guy?

I suddenly remembered, he also courted me for two years while we were in college. Now we are in the 4th-year of college and I am going to take my entrance exams this year to take medicine.

I averted my eyes when he looked at me. I ate and drank water to pretend not to look at him.

I was surprised when he suddenly grabbed my hand and he kissed it. I blushed again. His simple gestures always make me feel special.

'' I love you mi Bella. '' He whispered but enough to hear. I smiled.

'' And I love you more mi amor. '' Then I kissed his cheeks.

I can still remember how happy we were when we landed, How we laughed and how we had fun running on their private beach.

'' I am surprised that you are my mother's doctor. '' He said. I nodded.

I am too, I was surprised when Ashley suddenly came in with her worried face and she told me that Itzan's mom was suddenly rushed to the hospital because of a sudden heart attack. 

And Mrs.Sanchez chose me to be her surgeon. But I am thankful that her mother did not ask me what happened 5 years ago.

'' Does she know what happened to us? '' I looked at him and he nodded. He turned into me and I can see his cold blue eyes piercing through inside me.

The feeling I used to keep for a long time is here again. And I hate it.

'' She knows. But she wants to keep it for formality's sake. '' He shortly said.

'' Does your father also know? '' He nodded. '' My father knows everything. '' I laughed, right. His father always knows everything.

‘’Thank you for keeping the Spade Kingdom safe.’’ I just blurted out. He turned his eyes to me but I remained to stare at the moon.

‘’It is our task to do that.’’ He said and looked away.

We were quietly looking at the sky when his phone suddenly rang. He answered it immediately but I saw how his face lightens up.

He used to be like that to me. Noon.

''Hello, Katrina? '' I stopped at the name she said. 

I laughed in my mind and smiled bitterly as I looked at the full moon. and touched my shoulders. I suddenly felt cold and decided to enter.

'' It was nice seeing you. '' I said before finally leaving. 

I didn't hear a response so I continued walking. I smiled bitterly.

Katrina. In the end, they still fit for each other. Of course, a man like her deserved the best after all.

Sighing, I decided to leave the balcony and went downstairs. I saw Ashley talking to Mrs.Sanchez and some businessmen. 

I looked at my phone and I saw that it is already 10:45. Feeling tired, I decided to go outside and just tell Ashley’s driver to drive me home.

‘’Leaving already?’’ I looked at the person who talked. I smiled.

‘’Yes, your Highness..’’ I bowed down as a respect. The Duke of Spade Kingdom, Mr.Louise Alcázar Rodriguez is now in front of me after five years. 

‘’I am glad to see you here, Amanda. I thought you won’t accept our invitation.’’

‘’I am not that rude, anyway, it is an invitation from a Duke.’’ I stated, he chuckled and he took a sip to his wineglass.

I sighed and felt that it is too awkward. I faked a cough and looked at the duke . ‘’I have to go now, sir. I have work tomorrow at the hospital.’’ 

‘’Please, forget about the past already. Let go and live a new life.’’ He murmured but enough for me to hear. I chuckled sadly and stared at his blue ocean eyes just like his son’s.

‘’I can’t, Duke Louise. You know that I had sinned but you still forgave me. But I can’t forgive myself for what I had done.’’ I just answered and I turned back at him, It was rude for me to do that, But considering my position, I am higher than him. 

I chuckled sarcastically. Forgive myself? Let go? Everything will hunt me till I die. I will never forgive myself for doing that and following them. 

I was such a fool, for hurting the loved ones of the person I love the most.
