CHAPTER 6

Time check: 11.00

I was sipping my third coffee this morning when Dianne suddenly entered my office, she frowned and felt like she was carrying a heavy load.

It lay on my bed and threw my pillow. I frowned at what it was doing.

'' I know you are pissed but why do you have to touch my pillow’’ I told her and took my pillow that was on the floor and threw it at her and slapped her face.

I heard her grunted and sat on my bed. She looked at me and sighed.

'' It's about Zion. '' I sighed and put in the folder the lists of doctors to come and some information.

I approached her and I saw her tears, she was crying. '' Come here. '' She came over and hugged me.

She's sobbing and she's murmuring words. She's telling me what happened and it is not really good.

'' Shh .. '' I comforted. She walked away from me and wiped away her tears. She smiled at me and I gave her a tissue.

'' Zion's Mother came here to talk to you and just to tell that? '' She nodded

'' She told me to break-up with Zion and stay away from him. But we are not together anymore. Zion doesn’t love me anymore. What else does he want? '' She sobbed.

'' Everything is going to be okay. '' I just told her that. She smiled at me and shook her head.

'' I am no one, Amanda. Zion's mother is right. '' She said with tears.

I was stunned by what he said. If only you know Dianne. You are no one, You are more than that.

'' Done! You just have to drink your med Mr.Vicente and you can go back to farming. '' I told him and the couple smiled.

'' Oh, thank you very much, Ms. Amanda! '' Mrs.Vicente said I just nodded and smiled and left them

I sighed and placed the clipboard on the nurse's desk. I was signing something when someone suddenly stood beside me.

Confused I looked at him and my eyes widened.

'' Excuse me? Are you Mr. Izhan? '' I said and he looked at me. He smirked and he's wearing a medical coat!

'' You are a doctor ?! '' I exclaimed. He laughed. '' Of course Ms. Amanda. '' He said and the nurse handed him a clipboard.

'' Thanks '' He said and smirked at her and the nurse nodded so I was relieved.

'' Mind if we take a walk? '' He offered. I nodded but still confused.

''What are you doing here? And, I didn't know you were a doctor? '' He laughed at my remark. And he smirked.

Damn this royal prince here. Well, not anymore, The news said that he rejected his claim to the throne. So technically, he's just a prince but he doesn't have any right anymore to be a king.

‘’It’s been years since the last time I saw you. I can’t believe that you became a doctor with that cocky behavior of yours.’’ He chuckled at my remark. 

'' Well, You see, I am a medicine graduate Ms.Amanda, I have 8 years of experience in being a doctor since I was 17 years old because I am accelerated. I am so smart that many are willing to take me to be their doctor. '' He said proudly.

I and he stopped too. I just shook because of his arrogance.

'' You don't wear your contact lenses anymore. '' I whispered.

He was also my classmate when I was in medical school in Britannia. Indeed he is the best and he's also smart! So many are competing with him, not only those hospitals in Britannia or Spade Empire but also abroad.

'' They are comfortable. Also, people liked my eyes. '' I saw how his blue and green eyes flickered with proudness.

'' Let's say that the Girls loved your eyes. '' I emphasized the 'girls' . He just smiled and shook his head.

'' I am now a one-woman man, Ms. Amanda. '' He said to my surprise.

This man?! He is womanizer. My eyes narrowed at him, observing him. When the realization hits me.

'' Oh no, please no. '' I said and laughed. He just nodded and laughed also.

''Oh gosh, you are a womanizer before but now you are whipped, dude! '' I laughed.

We continued walking. This is making me calm though. Suddenly I have to remember.

'' Are you going to the Medical Mission too? '' He nodded. "I am one of the doctors and I am also one of the members of the Spade Navy." He said as if nothing had happened.

I nodded. I remember now, He and his brothers are part of the Spade Navy, It was their choice before to join so that they would not only be dukes in their houses, they also wanted to serve the country, but in a military way.

"He's also joining us you know." He said when we reached the Kiddie ward.

I sighed and nodded. I saw that he gave his clipboard to the nurse. I remembered that he is also a pediatrician.

'' I know. '' '' Does it make you uncomfortable? '' I shook my head.

'' I am gonna keep everything professional. He nodded and looked into my eyes.

'' It's in the past now Amanda you know? What happened is no- '' '' It is okay Izhan. I understand the thing is now, that you are not gonna be a king anymore. '' I laughed. He just shrugged his shoulders.

'' I just wanna ask you though, Why reject it? '' I asked. He looked at me.

'' Just like your reason Amanda, I don't see myself inside a palace, wearing a crown, serving the whole nation? I don't see myself fit to be one. '' He said.

I stopped and I just looked at his eyes like we were communicating.

'' It is because we had done something in the past that always torments us. '' I commented.

He just shook his head and took my hand and put something in my palm. I became frozen because of what I saw.

'' How did you find this? '' I asked and hid the thing inside my pocket. He just smiled

'' Please Amanda, Just forget what happened in the past. Okay? '' He said and left me alone and went to his office where I saw a patient waiting.

I don't know if I can forget what happened in the past. It will always torment me. It always does. Every single day.

I took it out again, It is a golden lock necklace with a half-moon imprinted in it. This is the necklace that Itzan gave me and I just left it after the thing I did.

'' Amanda! '' I saw Zion gasping to approach me. I frowned at him.

'' What happened? Why did you run Zion? '' I asked.

He looked at me and he smiled. '' It's very good news. '' He said

I nodded at him so he could say it. '' She's awake. And she wants to talk to you'' he said that made my heart leaped and made me excited.
