2 Ro stepped out of the cab in front of the Hotel Diamante at 8:30 am, 30 minutes before her scheduled interview. Shocked that she was on time at all after the morning she'd had, she paid the cab driver their previously agreed upon 75 Pesos, fumbling with the unfamiliar currency. The driver took the money, grunted his thanks in Spanish and made a U-turn in the narrow street to head back to the busier section of town. She watched the small, beat up cab retreat, then took a deep breath and turned her attention to the front of the Hotel Diamante. The three-story hotel had a Spanish colonial style charm.
