Velora’s world shatters the day her parents’ real daughter returns. Branded an imposter and cast aside, she loses everything–her home, her name and the man she loved. Alpha Kyron, the man who marked her, chooses his fated mate without hesitation and banishes her from the pack.

Left to die behind the borders, Velora expects the worst. Instead, she is taken and wakes up in a new world as the lost daughter of the strongest Alpha bloodline.

But when return is no miracle, it's a replacement. With her twin brother dying, Velora is forced to impersonate him and rule the pack as its male Alpha.

Just when she begins to rise, fate strikes again. She's pregnant with Kyron's child and the child she carries may be something far more important than anyone imagined.

Now hunted by prophecy and bound by power, Velora must decide: Will she protect the life growing inside her… or destroy everything that once destroyed her?

And when the Alpha who broke her comes crawling back—Will she let him in… or make him pay?

Chapter 1: Mate
Velora’s chestnut brown eyes went round with disbelief as she stared at the white bowl of water before her. Inside was her blood and her parents', but instead of mixing together they stood out like water and oil. “No…no…no,” her voice shook as she turned toward her parents, reaching for their arms. “Dad, Mom, What's happening? Why's my blood not—” Mariel, the woman she had called Mom for almost twenty years, shoved her hand away. “What do you think?!” she spat, her voice filled with disgust. Color drained out of Velora's face. When two types of blood don't mix in clean water, it only means one thing: the owners aren't blood-related. Her eyes shifted to the bowl beside it. The blood inside was carefully mixed. And it belonged to no-one else but Elvira, the girl standing beside Mariel. Someone who suddenly appeared a night ago claiming that Velora's life, identity and existence were hers. Velora shook her head, refusing to believe her eyes. “No, I'm… I'm your daughter,” her lips trembled, “the water… the water, there's something...” “It is you, not the water. You aren't our daughter,” Bastian, the man she had always Dad scowled. “I should have realized long ago when, after all, you're so weird.” Bastian’s words cut deep into Velora's chest, leaving tears shimmering in her eyes. Yeah, everyone in the pack called her a weirdo because of her very pale skin. If she hadn't shifted, they would have all assumed she was a vampire. Yet the fact that she had a wolf didn't stop people from treating her like a weirdo. She had always known that her parents hated her pale skin too, but they never for once said it to her face. They didn't shower her with love, yet they made her comfortable and always stood by her. “Mom, you… you believed I was special. You believed I was…” Velora's voice faltered as she shifted her gaze toward Mariel. “What's so special in you?” Mariel mocked. “Can't you see the difference between you and my daughter?” she added, taking Elvira's arm. Elvira had sparkling almond eyes, a well pointed nose which stood in the center of her tanned face. Her silky black hair cascaded neatly over her shoulders, giving her that noble appearance. “Mom, Dad, how can you believe she's your daughter?” Velora sniffed, her eyes darting between them. “She can be an impo—” SLAP! That was the sound that followed as Bastian's hand came in contact with Velora's face. “Do you know what I had to endure whenever I went to the pack house?” Velora's mouth fell open, tears welling up back into her eyes as she stared at Bastian. “Dad, you—” “Don't be hard on her, Dad," Elvira whispered, stepping forward. “She was here when I wasn't, she—” Mariel pulled Elvira into her arms, a place Velora couldn't remember the last time she was allowed in. “It's my fault, El. Mom, promises to give you back all you have lost in ten folds.” Elvira's lips twitched slightly. “Really?” Bastian took her hand. “Yes, El. Your father is the Beta of the Moonfang pack. Anything you want can be yours.” Velora clenched her chest sliding to the floor, tears running down her eyes as she stared at the sight before her. The way they held and smiled at Elvira broke her. It was nothing like when they held hers. “I want Alpha Kyron,” Elvira's voice cut through Velora's thoughts, leaving her gasping for air. Bastian didn't even hesitate. “Sure, our family already has a marriage arrangement, so—” Velora could let her take anything else; her identity, her title, her family, but not the only man she loved. “Dad,” her voice interrupted Bastian sharply. “He's mine. He marked me—” Mariel rolled her eyes in disdain. “Yours? You aren't even his mate. What makes you qualified to be his Luna?” Velora gulped, she wasn't Kyron’s mate, but they shared something more special than a mate bond as she believed. “But you were–” “Velora, you aren't my daughter anymore, so watch your tone around me,” Bastian warned, fury glowing in his eyes. “Alpha Kyron only has one Luna. And that's my daughter, Elvira.” Velora's stomach flipped. She's no longer his daughter? What is she then? A rogue wolf? A– Elvira's voice came in a whimper. “What about the mark? How can he mark her if they aren't mates?” Mariel's face contorted. “Alpha Kyron is cursed to not have a mate. And she's weird, so how it happened isn't a surprise.” she spat. “For the mark, the purification ritual will get it out.” Velora quickly took a step back, shaking her head. The purification ritual was going to destroy her. She might never find her mate again and, in the worst case, she loses her own wolf. “No, I don't want to do it.” A cruel smile crossed Bastian's face as he turned towards Mariel. “Get a servant in here.” Seconds later, Mariel returned with five male servants and, without wasting time, they grabbed Velora, pinning her to the floor. Velora struggled against their grip. “Dad! Dad! Mom!, please…please, I'm…I'm still your daughter,” Velora pleaded, screaming on top of her voice. “Drop the act,” Bastian snarled as he approached her with a sharp. “You're now a rogue wolf, whatever I do to you doesn't matter.” With a swift cut, her upper sleeve was torn, exposing the crescent moon mark on her neck but just as the knife edged towards the mark, the door suddenly burst open and a deep baritone voice echoed through the room. “What is going on here?” Everyone fell to their knees, instantly lowering their heads. “Greetings, Alpha.” “Should I… MATE!” Kyron growled, his wolf's voice visible in his tone. Velora lifted her eyes instantly, but to her greatest shock, he wasn't looking at her, instead his gaze was fixed behind her… she tilted her head slowly and there stood Elvira.
