There was nothing left to do.
“Sir! Mr. Stateman has been captured!”
Mr. Richmond kept on yelling those words while he was walking in the opposite direction to where he had gone before.
When he joined the group again and tried to explain what had happened, he was still shocked.
“What the hell has happened up there?” General Stone, who was almost angry, asked his man.
“Sir… Mr. Stateman…,” Mr. Richmond tried to utter a few words, but he was trembling as if he were in the grip of a panic attack.
“Damn it, calm down! Tell me what’s happened!” the General shouted.
All Mr. Richmond, who was still panicked, managed to say, catching the attention of the rest of the group, was, “Sir, we’ve been attacked by a weird animal being that looked like a big bird!”
