The meeting I attended with my business partners took longer than expected and I was late picking up Layla. I took out my phone and called Hank to drive Layla to the restaurant which I had planned to meet her that day.
As I walked towards the best seat in the restaurant overlooking the mountains, I was met with a surprise to see Kelly. She smiled at me from where she was seated with a man, I guessed to be a client of hers.
I smiled back. A friendly gesture, of course, which I did not expect her to take it as an invitation to sit with me. “Hello, Sky. Alone today?”
