“Do rich people eat like this every day?” Vanessa whispered behind her menu. “Of course not.” I answered. “Just every Saturday morning.” I was treating her to brunch the morning after our sleepover. At first she insisted on paying half, even though her eyes widened when she saw the prices. I finally convinced her to let me pay for everything. “I have no idea what to get,” She said studying the menu. I knew she was looking for the cheapest option. “Get whatever you want,” I said. “Seriously, I owe you for last night. You were such a good friend to me. And I haven’t had that in a long time.” “You’re sure?” She asked. “One hundred percent. It’s just brunch, anyway.
