I thought I was prepared, but really nothing could prepare me for trial. I was sitting in the courtroom, terrified even though I hadn’t done anything wrong. I just hoped and prayed that the judge would believe me.
Leo’s father had gotten a pretty good lawyer I think. He made me very uncomfortable. He just seemed skeezy. Maybe that’s because I thought anyone defending Leo was skeezy.
I noticed Lillian Rad didn’t sit with Logan. I heard they’re getting a divorce and she pretty much disowned Leo. She blatantly refused to let him get away with what he’d done. She was even testifying for me. I guess it’s a fair trade considering my mom was going to be defending Leo. I had decided after this trial I would have a talk with her to kick her out of my life for good. I just couldn’t forgive this.
