*Callan's POV*
I was thrilled when I heard my doorbell ring the next day. I smoothed out the covers on my bed as though we’re not about to mess them up.
“Jay!” My mother exclaimed. “Come in, come in. It’s so good to see you! I’m sure Callan will be even more glad to see you.”
For a moment I was so embarrassed, but then I remembered Jay is literally my girlfriend. She knows that I’m in love with her. I have nothing to be embarrassed about. But I still don’t exactly trust my mother not to let slip that she knew about us, so I hurry to the living room.
