UNWANTED CONFRONTATIONS Sophia refused to turn around and instead tried to move away. "Ethan, let go somewhere else" she hurriedly suggested, he gave her a concerned look. "Is everything okay?" "Yeah...I just feel like going somewhere else" As they moved to go away, the voice called louder and a very handsome man stood in front of her. She stared at him in shock, eyes wide, her hands clutched Etha's hand tightly. "Sophia, it's you" Adrian whispered as his eyes stayed on her. She swallowed and tried to speak but nothing came out, the shock of seeing him was just too much for her. "Let's go" she whispered to Ethan, her voice trembling. "Are you okay?" "Do you know him?" She shook her head, but her eyes betrayed her actions as they turned misty and glowed with recognition. "Hello, Mr Calloway. It's nice to meet you. I'm Ethan" "Hi, nice to meet you. " Adrian shook his hand without taking his eyes off Sophia. "I need to speak to you". He told her, his gaze was earnest. "We have nothing to speak about, go away" He opened his mouth. but a young pretty woman called his name. "Adrian, is everything alright?" Sophia stared at the woman then looked back at Adrian, an unreadable expression was displayed on her face. "Let's leave, Ethan. I want to leave" As she moved to leave, she felt someone grab her arm and the next thing she knew, she was being pulled away and dragged off. "Adrian, what are you doing?" She whispered fiercely, her face turned red from embarrassment as people were blatantly staring and pointing at them. He finally let her go when they reached a secluded area. She glared at him hatefully. "What do you think you are doing?" "Where the hell have you been? I've been searching all over the country for you. What are you doing in California?" he rapidly fired off questions, she folded her arms over her chest. "Living my life, what does it seem like?" He frowned at her, he was breathing harshly, his hair was already scattered by the wind but it gave him a rugged and wild look, a being pulled on his forehead. "Why did you leave without saying anything?" "Our contract was done so I left. What's it to you? I'm going back" He dragged her back and pulled her close to him, she tried to move back but he held her tight. Their faces were close, almost touching each other, she was silent as he stared at her face, his eyes shone with renewed longing as he stared at her smooth, fair face, her plump lips and her bewitching eyes, his grip became tighter. "Who was that man with you?" "None of your business" He bit her lip and growled, "Wrong answer. Who is he?" "Ethan Cole." she swallowed, her eyes hazy, "He is my friend and also my boss's son" "I don't want him near you" She frowned at him, "You have no right to tell me who to be with, you also bought a woman with you didn't you?" "She is just an escort, nothing special is going on" "I don't care, I want you to stay away from me" it hurts to say this especially since she was beginning to feel things that she thought she would never feel again. He leaned closer and growled, "You are mine, and I intend to have you back" then he took her lips in a fast kiss, before losing herself to the kiss she pulled her lips off and slapped him. "Don't you dare do that again" she spat, her chest was heaving from both from the kiss and anger at herself at feeling already turned on. He said nothing but stared at her quietly, with a smirk on his face. "Stay away from me....okay" she said in almost a plea. She fled from him and ran as fast as she could in her heels, she didn't know where she was running to but she knew she had to far away from him or she might do something she would regret. Her phone rang, "Ethan, please take me home" she spoke softly, her eyes glistened with tears. A few minutes later, a car drove up to her, Ethan got out and went towards her, his face filled with concern. "Let's get you home" he said softly as he left her in his car. "Are you sure you will be fine?" "Yes, I will be Ethan, thank you". "Who was he to you anyway?" She sighed as she leaned against her door to her apartment, a forlorn look was on her face. "He was something like an ex from my past, but I haven't seen him in five years. Only for him to try to wreck havoc in my life again." "Don't worry, I'm here for you" he pat her back, she smiled at him and leaned to kiss his cheek. "Thank you Ethan, you have been a great support to me" "Anytime" he answered as he cleared his throat, his ears were a bright red. ******************************* "Adrian what are you doing here? How did you know I work here?" He stalked towards her, a grin on his face. "I have business with this company and also..." he leaned closer to her face. "...I told you I intend to get you back, whether you like it or not. Come with me for a sec. We need to speak but I don't want to do it here" She crossed her hands, a defiant look on her face. "No, I don't want to. I have work to do" His face turned from, his eyes turned cold, "Sophia, I have no time for your games right now. Come with me" She struck her desk in anger. "I said, " I don't want to come with you. " I'm also not in the mood for your games too, so please leave me alone, okay". "Sophia" he growled in warning. "Mr Calloway, the lady said she doesn't want to come with you, can you please respect her wishes and leave her be" Ethan spoke from where he stood at the doorway, Sophia smiled at him in appreciation. Adrian glared at him then looked back at her. "This isn't over" He turned and Left, just as he reached the exit, a sweet young voice rang out, stopping him in his tracks. "Mommy!”
