Indeed, Charles has been more trustworthy lately, and there has not been any shocking information regarding him. Josh has become more reserved, perhaps as a result of his return. It would have been better if she had held back and played coward. But she decided to be obstinate at that particular moment, which infuriated him—a formidable opponent. Taking hold of her wrist, he dragged her down to the subterranean parking lot while muttering something about having to go to a social function. "Do not assume that getting your position is simple. There is a cost involved." It was obvious that he wanted revenge. Along the road, the imported Ferrari accelerates. Rebecca's stomach churned and she had not even had time to settle herself when they halted. However, Charles ignored her emotions and pulled her to the most opulent club in Los Angeles. They walked into an opulent private room with poor lighting, loud voices, and offensive music playing. Rebecca turned to flee in response to her natural inclination, but Charles forced her into the room without her will, leaving her sprawled in a sad state on the plush leather chair. "Mr. Hall, what is her name?" The Lee Group's Mr. Lee turned to face the bewildered woman beside him, his lustful eyes glued to Rebecca's bare thighs. Chapter 5: Considering Yourself to be a Bet Rebecca slowly raised her head and sat up. Even though she straightened her dishevelled hair and had a terrified expression on her delicate, pale face, she was still incredibly attractive. a certain alluring beauty. This woman had a chilly, exquisite attitude, light, nice makeup, and enticing brilliant eyes, unlike the overly made-up women in the private room. "Rebecca, the Hall Group's recently appointed executive chairperson." A voice full of disdain and a hint of derision. The assembly initially appeared stunned, then glancedThe crowd regarded her with disdain after initially expressing shock. Was that Rebecca Brown, then? The mistress who, with Charles's assistance, got into Josh Hall's bed. "Charles, how would you like me to leave?" She spoke slowly and icily, fixing her icy stare on Charles. with a composed and assured gait. "The people in attendance today are significant customers and investors of the Hall Group; as such, they should receive excellent service." "Served well?" she thought, scowling. "What is the appropriate way for me to serve? I am not sure I really get it." She had never witnessed a spectacle like this before. Despite her inner uneasiness, she kept a straight expression. It implies that a woman is a man's servant. You are skilled at that, I know."Charles continued to smile heedlessly, his words tormenting her psychologically and physically like a pair of keen knives. "All right." She agreed, grinning and looking up. She then proceeded to pour wine for the males, toast, and accompany them, mimicking the other women in the room. Maybe because of who she was, nobody ventured to put her through hardship or go above and above. She had many rounds of drinks, at which point her face reddened. She was dazed, the world seemed to be spinning, and she felt as though someone had snatched her up. She realised it was a stranger. She was stubborn, yet she did not fight for it. to utilise herself as a negotiating tool.He scoffed, that woman had so much life in her, she was like a weed, blooming heedlessly and intentionally everywhere she went. Did he really have anything to worry about? Rebecca's back was against something soft, her body was heated and unpleasant, and she had no idea where she was. It is supposed to be a bed. A woman speaking softly, as if they were conspiring, was talking to another male outside the door. "Why do you enquire so much? She is yours tonight, so do whatever you want with her." Rebecca felt a little familiar, as though she had heard the woman's cheerful voice somewhere before. After a brief pause, the man said, "I dare not just sleep with a woman of unknown, I have my beliefs," with a trace of doubt in his voice. The woman grew agitated and gave a chilly reprimand, saying, "To hell with your principles! When you attended those s l parties, I did not see your principles!" "Haha, I know you care about me, but remember, not a dime less after all is done," the man grinned. "Why use words that could be wasted? Get moving!" There was a loud bang on the door and the sound of the woman's stilettos pulling back. Rebecca fought to open her eyes, crawled out of bed, and was unable to stand steadily due to her weak legs. And everything in front of her seemed hazy. She became aware that she was in danger. She had no idea what they were planning, but she knew it was not going to be good. Her self-bet was now something she regretted. She was genuinely stupid. Charles ought to have realised she was missing after all this time, but he had not gone looking for her. She was actually not that important of a person. Sweetheart, are you awake? Being awake is preferable to being dead because one is still living." The man's obscene voice became closer and closer until, from behind, he threw her into the bed and held her, ripping her business suit with such force that she felt scared and vulnerable. The man undid her shirt and planted heavy, thick kisses on her neck and cheeks, making her feel nauseous. "Give me up! Who are you? "Leave me, bastard!" "Charles, where are you, save me-Charles!" she cried in a panic as she fought and resisted in a horrible state, her cheeks already damp with tears. But the miracle never materialised! Perhaps Charles was having fun right now, enjoying himself with other women. Rebecca stopped fighting and resisting for a little while. The hard reality was slowly extinguishing the flame in her heart. Her heart became mute and to ashes. She closed her eyes and endured it all. She had a violent fit of laughter as those filthy hands grabbed into her skirt, saying, "Rebecca, you are mine, forever." I shall save your priceless first encounter for our wedding night since I adore and cherish you." It was Charles who said these things to her. Extremely lovely and cosy, devoid of any sensual perversion. Like a light beaming down into the recesses of her heart. She opened her eyes abruptly and struggled to get hold of the ashtray on the bedside table, which she slammed down hard on the man's skull. His face was dripping blood over hers. For an instant, the man appeared stunned. She pulled him away immediately, seeming tense and unkempt. She opened the door without giving it much thought and staggered forward. The man behind her swore, "Do not run, you b h! You are so rude to me. I will kill you with f k!" The man came running after her, his head still bleeding. She seized the sleeve of a man who was standing next to her in a panic. It appeared as though the man had just returned and was going to unlock the door with the room card. Though she could not see the man's features properly since she was equally messy as him, she sensed that he had clear eyes and was not a nasty person at all. She shook all over and begged, "Sir, please save me." Without giving a reason, the man took her into his arms after casting a chilly glance over the bloodied man behind her. He quickly produced a black revolver and pointed it at the man standing behind her, saying in a deep, authoritative voice, "Take another step, and you are dead!" With his head in his hands, the man behind them instantly ran away after being frightened, startled, surprised, and scared. Now that the crisis was over, her body grew weak, and she passed out. She found herself in a ward at the central hospital when she awoke once more. Her parents, Megan Green and Peter Brown, were standing next to her. Additionally, the Brown family gained when Mrs. HallPeter Brown used to be a small-time contractor, but he just started a little real estate firm. The Hall family's closeness has allowed his firm to expand significantly. Megan Green, along with her two younger siblings, currently lead affluent lives. Her siblings, who have a promising future ahead of them, are currently studying in Australia. Outsiders make both complimentary and disparaging remarks about Peter, claiming he has struck gold. Her mother nagged, "Rebecca, let me tell you, you need to find a good successor immediately since Josh Hall's health is declining." Look, it is almost here! She gave her mother a chilly smirk, turned to face her, and asked, "Mom, do you have a decent candidate?" with a small curvature of her lips. Mrs. Brown's eyes were cunning and hungry as she excitedly clutched Rebecca's hand, feeling as though there might be a plan after hearing this. "Mr. Hall's health is diminishing, but Charles is still in his prime," she said. It would be wonderful if you could keep up your relationship with him." What an arrogant statement! She is merely an item in their eyes. Give her out to the highest bidder. Her "biological" family, that is. She was laughing uncontrollably. Laughter was about to release tears. "I will give it some thought." She could only force a grin and agree to end their ceaseless entanglements. Charles stood at the door, his fists clenched, his face as grim as the clouds, his eyes as cold and ferocious as a ferocious beast. After packing her parents off, Rebecca finally collapsed onto the blanket, curled into a ball, and started crying.
