Chapter no: 02 "Man in the jungle"

Last night at 2:00 pm.
“Chunk, chunk. Oh god. I think we are out of petrol and the tire is also punctured. Mr. Stepherd said.
“Honey, you should call the car help service.” Ms. Stepherd said.
“Who will come in the middle of the night in this dark area? Also, I’m out of mobile signals.” Mr. Stepherd said.
“Mom, where are we? I am so scared”, Amelia asked her mom.
Ms. Stepherd replied to Amelia,
“Aww, why is my baby so scared? Just think we are on a picnic.”
They sat in the woods and decided to spend the night in their truck.
Mr. Stepherd said,
“I am going to look for the toilet. I think the light is coming from there. Maybe it’s someone's house. I’ll check quickly.”
“Honey, go safely” said Ms. Stepherd.
“Bye daddy” Amelia said.
Her father gave her a flying kiss and said,
“I’ll come back quickly. Don’t be afraid.”
After 40 minutes.
“Why isn't he back yet? Amelia goes inside the truck. I’ll go look for your father.” Said Ms. Stepherd.
“Mom, I am scared” Amelia said.
“Don’t be afraid. Darling, start counting from one to a hundred. I’ll be in front of you. When you finish,” Ms.stepherd.
“Okay mom. I am waiting.” Amelia said.
She goes towards that light. A man was standing wearing a black hoodie and mask, there was a sharp knife in his hand which is covered in blood and his husband was hanged on the tree. His shirt was ripped into pieces. She gets scared and quietly runs towards the truck. She tells her daughter to hide inside the suitcase and not make any sound.
“What happened mom?” Amelia said while tears were falling from her eyes.
“Just promise me you will not come outside whatever happens.” Ms. Stepherd said.
The man chases her and grabs her from her hair and stabs her with his knife. She tries to fight and resist him and immediately grabbed the knife in her hands to throw it away, but she ended up hurting his left hand by making a big scar on his hand. His hand was bleeding. He beats her up and goes towards the truck. She tried to approach his leg and try to stop him. He kicked her hand with his leg. He quickly looked inside the truck but he found no one and ran away.
The next morning,
Officer Barret comes to the scene where it happened and handles the dead body of Mr. Stepherd. Ms. Stepherd was in a negative state. Officer Barret searched the whole truck and found Amelia inside the suitcase. She fainted due to lack of oxygen. They immediately take her to the hospital. After a few minutes, she woke up. Officer Barret asked her questions about last night.
“Did you see the face of the culprit? What did he look like? Tell me fast. Barret shouted at Amelia.
“How are you talking to a child like that? Don’t you have any manners? This is a hospital, not your station. Please go outside and wait for her.” Said the doctor.
“You are the only witness of the scene. Don’t you want to get revenge on your father?” Barret asked Amelia.
Amelia replied,
“Please, take me to my mom. I will tell you after that.”
She goes towards her mother and holds her hand, closes her eyes and reads her mother’s memories. Her eyes were filled with tears. She was shocked. She came out of the room.
Barret asked Amelia,
“Are you ready to tell me now?”
“I didn’t see his face,” Amelia replied.
“What?!” Barret said.
Amelia said,
“But there was a scar on his left hand.”
“Are you sure?” Barret asked.
“Yes” she replied.
Beep beep.. (Phone is ringing.)
“Hello sir! I checked the CCTV camera footage of a black Camry passing by at 3:30pm and there was no number plate on it also.”
“Fu**! This is the work of that bastard too,” Barrett said angrily.
Barret ordered,
“Get the information out of all the black near our district station and the scene where it happened also. The culprit has a knife scar on his left hand.”
“Okay sir! But Sir Mr. Stepherd also has that butterfly tattoo on his back and his middle fingers were missing also I just got reported this morning.”
“This is definitely that bastard doing” Barret said.
It was a dark snowy night in December.
“Honey, where are you? What are you doing outside?” Ms. Lia asked David.
“Look here. I am making a snowman”, David replied.
Ms. Lia said,
“Haha, come inside, it’s cold honey.”
Siren-Siren-Siren
Police broke the door to get inside the house.
“What the hell are you doing?! Lia asked shockingly.
“Where is Mr. David Watson? Barrett asked.
Lia replied,
“He is there outside, but why are you here?”
Barret said,
“Miss, you should sit down.”
“Go check the whole house. Don’t miss anything.” Barrett ordered.
David turned around and saw Barret. He trembled and asked Barret,
“What are you doing?”
Barret replied,
“What are we doing? You should know that better?”
David asked Barret,
“Excuse me, I didn’t understand.”
“Ahh, you will understand everything,” Barret replied.
Dr. David Watson. You are under arrest for murdering Mr. Stepherd and hurting his wife, killing four high school girls and several many people. YOU MONSTER!
