Chapter 13: The Traitor in Our Midst
Alessia's heart was racing as she tried to process the danger that the pack was in. Victor's ally was still unknown, and the pack was on high alert.
Elijah's eyes narrowed, his face tense with concern. "We need to figure out who Victor's ally is," he said. "Before it's too late."
Alexander nodded, his expression grim. "I agree," he said. "But we need to be careful. The traitor could be anyone."
Alessia felt a chill run down her spine. The traitor could be anyone? What did that mean?
As she looked at the pack, she saw a mixture of fear and suspicion in their eyes. Who could they trust?
Elijah's eyes locked onto hers, and Alessia saw a flicker of reassurance there. "We'll figure this out," he said. "Together."
But as Alessia smiled, trying to feel reassured, she couldn't shake the feeling that the traitor was closer than they thought.
And then, she saw him. A figure lurking in the shadows, watching the pack with an intensity that made Alessia's skin crawl.
"Who's that?" she whispered to Elijah.
Elijah's eyes narrowed, his face tense with concern. "I don't know," he said. "But I'm
going to find out."
