Chapter1
Chapter 1: Rebirth Alessia's eyes fluttered open, and she was met with an unfamiliar ceiling. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back onto the bed. As she lay there, she noticed a faint scent of antiseptic and the beeping of machines in the distance. A hospital. But how did she get here? Alessia's memories were hazy, fragmented images of a life she couldn't quite recall. She remembered running through forests, feeling the moon's pull, and the thrill of the hunt. But that wasn't her life now. With a newfound sense of determination, Alessia pushed herself up, swinging her legs over the side of the bed. The room spun, but she gritted her teeth, forcing herself to focus. A nurse bustled in, concern etched on her face. "Welcome back, Miss...?" Alessia hesitated, unsure of her name. "Alessia," she said finally, the name feeling strange on her lips. The nurse smiled. "Welcome back, Alessia. You've been with us for a few days. Do you remember what happened?" Alessia shook her head, feeling a pang of frustration. The nurse's expression turned sympathetic. "Don't worry, it'll come back to you. In the meantime, let's focus on getting you better." As the nurse helped Alessia settle back into bed, she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was not her own. That there was something more, something lurking just beneath the surface. And then, there were the dreams. Dark, vivid dreams that left her gasping for breath. Dreams of running, of hunting, of being something more. Alessia's eyes drifted shut, and she let the darkness consume her, unsure of what lay ahead, but certain that her life would never be the same. As Alessia drifted off to sleep, she was haunted by the dreams. Dreams of a life she couldn't quite remember, but which felt more real than her current existence. She dreamed of running through forests, feeling the moon's pull, and the thrill of the hunt. She dreamed of being strong, powerful, and free. But the dreams were fleeting, and Alessia woke up feeling frustrated and disoriented. She looked around the hospital room, trying to remember how she got there. The nurse came in to check on her, and Alessia asked her again about her past. The nurse hesitated, looking uncomfortable. "I'm sorry, Alessia," she said. "You were brought in here with no identification, and no one has come forward to claim you. It's like you just... appeared." Alessia felt a chill run down her spine. Appeared? What did that mean? She tried to press the nurse for more information, but the nurse just shook her head. "I'm sorry, Alessia. That's all I know." Alessia was left with more questions than answers. Who was she? Where did she come from? And what was happening to her? As she lay in bed, trying to make sense of her situation, Alessia felt a strange sensation wash over her. It was like her body was changing, shifting in some way. She looked down at her hands, and they seemed to be... altering. Her fingers were lengthening, her nails sharpening. Alessia's heart was racing as she realized what was happening. She was transforming. Into what, she had no idea. But as she looked in the mirror, she saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes s taring back at her. And Alessia knew that she was not human.
