Chapter 14: The Mysterious Figure

Alessia's heart was racing as she watched Elijah approach the mysterious figure. Who was he? And what did he want?

As Elijah reached the figure, he spun him around, his eyes flashing with anger. "Who are you?" he growled.

The figure smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "My name is Marcus," he said. "And I'm here to help you."

Alessia's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with suspicion. What did Marcus want? And why was he lurking in the shadows?

Elijah's eyes locked onto hers, and Alessia saw a flicker of uncertainty there. Did he trust Marcus?

Marcus's smile grew wider. "I know what you're thinking," he said. "But I assure you, my intentions are pure. I'm here to help you uncover the truth about Victor's ally."

Alessia felt a surge of hope. Could Marcus really help them?
