Chapter 3: The Stranger Alessia followed Elijah as he approached the stranger, her heart pounding in her chest. The stranger's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and Alessia felt a shiver run down her spine. As they drew closer, the stranger stepped forward, his eyes fixed on Elijah. "My name is Ryder," he said, his voice low and smooth. "And I've been sent to deliver a message to Alessia." Alessia's heart was racing as she stepped forward, her eyes locked on Ryder. "What message?" she demanded. Ryder's eyes flicked to Elijah, and then back to Alessia. "You're in grave danger," he said. "There are those who would seek to harm you, to exploit your... condition." Alessia felt a chill run down her spine as Ryder's words seemed to echo through her mind. Condition? What did he mean? Elijah's eyes narrowed, his face tense with anger. "Who sent you?" he growled. Ryder hesitated, and for a moment, Alessia thought she saw a flicker of fear in his eyes. "I'm not at liberty to say," he said finally. Elijah's face darkened, and he took a step forward, his fists clenched. "Tell me," he snarled. Ryder didn't flinch, even as Elijah's anger seemed to wash over him. "I'll tell you nothing," he said. "But I'll give you this." Ryder reached into his pocket and pulled out a small piece of paper, which he handed to Alessia. On it was scrawled a single address: Alessia's heart was racing as she looked up at Ryder, her eyes locked on his. "What does it mean?" she demanded. Ryder's eyes flicked to Elijah, and then back to Alessia. "You'll know," he said. "When the time comes." And with that, Ryder turned and disappeared into the night, leaving Alessia and Elijah staring after him in confusion. As they stood there, Alessia felt a sense of unease wash over her. What did Ryder's message mean? And who was behind the mysterious warning? Elijah's eyes narrowed, his face tense with concern. "We need to get out of here," he said. "Now." Alessia nodded, her heart still racing with fear. As they turned to leave, she couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, that unblinking eyes were trained on them from the shadows. And as they walked away from the hospital, Alessia felt a sense of trepidation wash over her. What lay ahead? And who would be waiting for her in the shadows? As they walked, Elijah seemed to sense Alessia's unease. He put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. "We're safe," he said. "For now." Alessia nodded, trying to believe him. But as they walked, she couldn't shake the feeling that they were being pulled into a world of danger and deception. As they turned a corner, Alessia saw a figure standing in the distance. He was tall and imposing, with eyes that seemed to bore into her soul. "Elijah," she whispered, her voice trembling with fear. "Who is that?" Elijah's eyes narrowed, his face tense with concern. "I don't know," he said. "But I'm going to find out." And with that, Elijah strode forward, his eyes fixed on the stranger. Alessia followed close behind, her heart pounding in her chest.
