Chapter NineAndy pulled up a couple of miles south of Alnwick Castle. Fortunately, either the army truck hadn't been chasing them after all, or he had managed to give them the slip. Looking around, he decided this was the ideal spot for their picnic. There were plenty of trees to give them cover. “I think we should be okay here for a while.” Pulling a rug from the back of the car, he laid it on the ground. Sarah nodded and after helping the children down from the car, she set out the food they had found in the police station fridge. Normally, she enjoyed a picnic with the children, but without Pete it wasn't the same.
