He knows me

Evelyn's P.O.V.

„Please queen, mercy.” He begged.

„I’m sorry sweet boy, I don’t give second chance. Never.”  *BANG* I shot him in the head

„Clean this.” I told Dimitri and I went to the bar to pour another glass of vodka.

„What time it’s?” I ask Aidan. He doesn’t look me in the eyes. He knows when he needs to be afraid of me, his boss and when I’m his friend.

„It’s 2:15 queen.” 

„You’re in charge tonight with Dimitri. Don’t call me unless it appears a BIG problem that Dimitri can’t handle. Understand?” I speak calmly and he approves me. I ride my bike back home. I park in the garage, take a deep breath, put on my face a smile and go inside. An amazing smell hit my nostrils.

„Mhmm” I moan loudly enough for Andrew to hear me. I swear I heard him growl. 

„Smells amazing, Andrew. I’m amazed that you remembered my favorite dish for lunch. Are you trying to impress me?” I chuckled.

„Thanks, maybe” he smiles. „I’ll be here in a minute.” I said my way to the bedroom for my phone. I called Dimitri.

„Done?”

„Yes my queen. Do you need anything?” 

„I need all the information about Andrew Myer. You have until tomorrow morning. No more, no less.” 

„It’s enough my queen.”

„Good. You’re in charge with Aidan tonight. I don’t be there. When you’ll have the information, send me. After that, look through our men, see if we have another mole. That’s all” I said calmly

„Have a good day, my lady.” He spoke respectful and I hang the call. I went downstairs and I find Andrew waiting for me with lunch prepared on the table.

„Thank you. It looks and smells amazing.” I said 

„Anything for you” he smiles widely and I just nod.

We start eating when he breaks the silent. 

„What’s wrong with you?”

„Nothing” I said playing with my food.

„Yeah.. and I’m a movie star. Don’t lie to me Lyn, tell me what’s wrong.” He reaches my hand and squeezes it.

„I had a mole in my group and I just killed it.” I said looking him in the eyes. I search in them for repulsion, fear, disgust but all I can find is sympathy and love? „Okay, I just told him that I killed someone and all I see in his eyes is love? I’m definitely crazy.” I told myself.

„It’s ok. You need to do that to teach all your men a lesson to not play with you. I know that power means sacrifices. I understand it very well. How many people do you kill until now?” he said. „Okay...why is he so understanding? Maybe I became suspicious over the years about everyone.” I thought

„With this one, ten by my hand. 120 by my men on my order.” I don’t dare to look him in the eyes. I don’t want to see disgust.

„Wow.. a pretty big number. But I have to tell you something. Look me in the eyes” and I raised my eyes „I’ve killed some men too in those years… 7 exactly, so don’t be embarrassed to look me in the eyes when we speak about these things. That’s who we are today. And we can’t change it. In your current job, you have to do this kind of things. In my current job, I need to eliminate the ones that might put me or the cybernetic world in danger.” He said smiling at me, trying to comfort me.

„I know it’s tough for a woman to run the Mafia, but I know you’re a badas* queen.” He winks „and I’m really proud of you.” He pulls my hand to his lips and kisses it and I find myself blushing. „What the hell!!!! I’m the queen of gun mafia and I blush when he’s kissing my hand? Shame on me.” I told myself. 

    I chuckle and thank him for his words. 

„I have to tell you something” he said cleaning the table.

„Go ahead.” I said 

„You don’t have to let me live here.”

„It’s your house too, Andrew.” I smile

„Not anymore.”

„What? What do you mean?” I asked looking confused

„When I moved in NY, I put the house only on your name. I didn’t want to rip all the contacts with you, but I thought that you’ll gonna sell it. And you deserved it more than me.” He shrugged

I giggled „If I want to shoot you right now, you’ll be upset?”

„Never, my love. After all I’ve made, killed by you it’s a blessing. Not a punishment.”

„Okay…. You have to stop with all my love, my sweetie, baby or babe, cause …” he turns to me searching for hope in my eyes.

„Cause what? Finish what you started.” He command.

„Well, Casanova. First: every time you call me that way I almost wet my pants. Second: I am the queen of gun mafia and I melt at your words and doesn’t suit me. Third: I don’t know your plans for me, I don’t know what you want from me or …” I take a deep breath „I don’t know what are you feelings for me anymore.” He cuts me off

„Hey, calm down and let me explain everything for you. Okay?” I only nod

„I loved you, I’ve broke your heart, but..” he pauses and I could feel my heart stop from beating at his words „I don’t think that I deserve any forgiveness by you or your heart for what I did. I still love you with all my heart and I think I’ll always love you. I want to try to be again your reason to smile in the morning, to moan when you eat my food. I want to let me try to conquer you, your heart, soul and body again. And I’ll do all of these, every day, just let me try.” I smile shyly but I see on his lips and slyly smile and I frown. 

„And for the first and second reason” he leans toward me with a devilish grin spread on his face while I’m backing through the kitchen counter „why you have to let me try win you again is that I can make you scream God’s and Devil’s names in the same second.”
