The music was pounding, the vibrations made my body feel like it was humming from the inside. I leant back against the bar, looking out onto the room. There was barely a single space among the crowd, people were dancing in every corner, bodies pressed against one another. The volume of people crammed inside was making the temperature soar, but I didn't care. Even as my skin flushed hot and I craved an icy cool down, I smiled at being back in my favourite place, and looking forward to an ordinary night once again.
