NIGHTMARE (PART TWO)

1012 Words
Kids these days, sometimes I feel like I'm spoiling them a bit too much or am I just overreacting. "Where have you been, Ninola?' I was chained to the wall with my hands and feet tied to the wall. "I miss you so much, my love.' He carried me and peered at me with his eyes before smacking a huge slap across my face. "You have no idea how long I've been thinking about you?" I began sobbing. "Please, Please, let me go." He kissed me, biting my cheek so hard and before I knew it, he had ripped my clothing off. "Derek?" I cried out. He was heavily drunk. "I SAID, IS THIS HOW YOU REPAY ME." He shouted at my face and gripped my neck, his fangs popped out and he nibbled me. I screamed in agony, shivering in dread, my body vibrating uncontrollably in pain. I woke up screaming for help, Eva was holding my shoulders, Eyolf was staring at me, and Kiara gave me a worried look. I changed my expression as soon as I saw them and knew what had happened. "Hey, don't look at me that way. 'I'm alright,' I said with a smile. "You are safe, Athena,' Eva consoled me with warmth in her eyes. For the fact, she called me "Athena" gave me a sense of relief. I didn't want to hear the name "Ninola" anymore. That name frightens me. "Really?" I asked with uncertainty. "Yes, my dear," I said, as I stroked her hair. "Are you sure?" Eva inquired. "I'm certain, and is lunch ready?" Changing the topic. "Yes, mother. It's ready.' Kiara replied and Eva commenced following her as she jumped joyfully and wandered towards the dining table. Eyolf muttered as he glanced at me. "Don't expect me to believe that, it's dumb mum," he remarked calmly as he walked away. *Don't expect me to believe that, it's dumb pretty one* I was taken aback. His father said those exact words to me about eleven years ago. I will never forget it, not now or ever in my life. Tears streamed down my cheeks, why do I still remember him after all these years, my heart sank as I sobbed. He was kind, even though I didn't know him. Eyolf, especially, has a striking resemblance to him. His mannerisms, attitude, and his behavior were so much like his. Sometimes the way he dresses in style appears to be a carbon replica of him, and his walking steps are exactly like him. All these years, I've tried to disregard him, and I'm still trying to move on and neglect him. Yes, I'm still trying, but Eyolf always reminds me of him, which is why I rarely chastise him, and he always does things at the appropriate time and correctly. Kiara took his skin-coloured eyes. The rest came from me. I can still remember how I went crazy, running away from him. I stood up carefully, cleaned my face, and proceeded to the dining table to eat with them. I didn't want them to be worried about me. So I had to put my worries aside. We were all chatting and having a good time. Eva choked on her lunch a thousand times since the Jokes were so amusing. We talked all day and ate dinner together. The next day, I awoke late again, and this time Eyolf got me up to join them for breakfast before they left for school. I got up early the next day, made their breakfast, and dressed Kiara for school. She appears to be sluggish this morning. "Are you tired?" I inquired. "How come you're weary after you slept so well the night before?" "I don't know, mom.' She rubbed her eyes and rested her head on my shoulders, while I was putting on her shoes. "You're such a baby, Kiara." Eyolf said as he came in, already dressed up in his uniform. Kiara suddenly pouted and said. "I'm not a baby,' "Come on, Eyolf, stop that," I said and laughed at her but she is still my little daughter. "I didn't do anything, she's still a baby, and if she isn't, I'm sorry. Then why is she acting that way?' He asked, folding his arms across his chest in his school uniform. "What if I act like one? What's your problem,' she murmured sweetly as she put her face on my breast. "Did you see what I'm talking about, she's a baby." He remarked. "I'm not a baby; I'm ten years old and a smart girl," she said proudly, tapping her chest. "Oh, not in my opinion," he sneered. "Well, you have to see it that way, bro?" Kiara smirked and turned to face me. These kids never cease to amuse me. "Do you love me, Mom?' she asked happily. I poked her nose and smiled. "I will always love you, my daughter, and I will never stop loving you, okay? I love you.' She grinned and hugged me tightly. "I love you so much, mum," she replied enthusiastically, returning her gaze to mine. "And mom, may I ask you a question?" "Go on, my baby," I said. "Do you love us?' She beamed. I laughed and poked her nose. "Yes, I love the both of you very much." Cathwulf's Pov. "Is it worth it?" "Mom, what are you talking about?" I said. "I'm worried about you. I know she is your mate, but she disagrees with you, she doesn't even want to see you." "Mom…" "What if she doesn't need you and finds out about your secret. What are you going to do about that?" I panicked at her words, did she have to bring that up? "Can we leave that aside for now, please?" I pleaded with her, she was right. How can I be plain with my mate when she doesn't want me around her, screaming and calling the attention of her neighbours as if I was some assassin. What am I going to do now? This is getting difficult and tougher to comprehend.
