Prologue
“Well this is a turn of events...” The cloaked figure groaned in disgust, looking upon a small town with few lights can be seen from the far distance which it stands. The sound of footsteps can be heard from the tree line, it’s slow movement, antagonizing the crumbled leaves in its wake. “My liege...” a slithering voice whispers into the night, calling to it’s master. “What is it?” The veiled voice was stern, demanding for the slithering voice to speak again. “I have come to bring news of the girls whereabouts...” The voice seems to tremble to the silhouettes intimidating demand. “Well?...speak.” Its tone grew darker. “Y-Yes...of course..” The hoarse voice clears its already feared whispering. “ The girl and her band of travelers are heading NorthEast off of the mountains, they’re going to Torano Village...” The voice hung on to its words, making it clear of what it has seen and discovered. “So it seems...” It growled in irritation. “O-Our Scoffken are on the lookout and scouting them as we speak my liege...” The slithery voice spoke with fragile words. The figure turned to look at the silhouette hidden by the thick trees of the forest. The voice had a face of scales and a tongue long and slick, its eyes were reptilian and stood out with greens of all kinds. It’s hands with claws razored, enough to slice up someone who could be no match for even the weapon in a person's hand. It’s body in the shape of a human, but features of something much more feared. “Is that all you have to say?” The figures' eyes burned through its soul, wanting whatever could have been to disturb them could be gone within the gust of the wind. Sweat broke from the creature’s brow. “Yes my liege....” the scaled-beasts voice trembled once more in terror. “Then leave out of my sight” The veiled man turned in annoyance, signaling the trembling beast to go back into the darkened forest, its trees stretched high into the black sky, with stars brightened like fireflies. Without another word spoken, the scaled-beast returned into the dead of night, the sound of something crackling once it set foot into the wooded forest. “This really is...troubling...”The mysterious man spoke into the night in disappointment. The wind brushed and howled across the lands, the trees rattled their leaves and the little critters all headed for shelter. The moon continues to descend into the mountains, as the sun makes way for the break of dawn.
