I don't exactly land gracefully, as much as I would like to say that I did. My ankle bends beneath me, sending a wave of fire up my entire leg. The screaming ends abruptly after that, I am too busy willing myself to ignore the pain. I am on the floor gripping my foot. Aven would be useful right about now, I think, but everything that surrounds me is darkness. Even Ronan's presence would be appreciated at this point. I try to stand, then decide to give myself a minute.  "Aven?" I call out. The sound dies within a foot of me. "Ronan?" The red lights find me first, then the golden.
