      The vibration of my phone underneath my pillow wakes me up earlier than expected. It takes me a moment to realize where the sound was coming from, as I've never really owned a phone before. The moment the realization sinks in though, I find it hard to even remember how to breathe. I look over at Grace's bed, checking if she is still asleep. She doesn't stir. Due to my paranoia, I carefully read over the surface of her mind to make sure she isn't just pretending. Her thoughts are too fuzzy to actually belong to a lucid person. I withdraw and slip into the bathroom with my vibrating phone. I pick up just as the last ring reaches its end. "Cassandra." "I was afraid you were ignoring me, Belladonna."
