CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT Linda rose from the bathroom floor, thanking God when she finally heard the knock on the cabin door. “There’s been some mix up.” Linda heard CeCe say. “No one called nine-one-one—” “Help!” Linda tore out the bathroom and ran to the front door. A medium-height, blonde police woman stood in the door, gripping the radio on her hip. “Ma’am, are you all right? Did you call?” CeCe pushed Linda, took out his g*n and shot the officer in the chest. Linda screamed, covering her mouth.
