Chapter 12

Since no questions came forth she decided it was proper to keep going. “Common knowledge states that human DNA is a double helix that pairs up to create our genetic map. This is not wrong but it isn’t exactly right either. This double helical structure came into being after we were modified with reptilian DNA thus destroying our previous normal structure.”  Elisa was feeling weak after saying that. This kind of teachings should only be discussed in controlled environments because you never know who could be listening. She knew she was taking a big risk to herself and the boys by saying all this outside of her sect but she also knew the kids wouldn’t agree to come along with her right away. She had to give them something.  In any case if we are in danger we can always flee to a secure location so they can proceed with their learning and unlock their potential.  “Humans have the ability to have in their bodies 12 DNA strands which relates to our 12 chakras which yet again depends on the 12 solar frequencies. These frequencies have 9 levels to each one meaning that there are 108 sublevels in total. In order to fully awaken each chakra you need to successfully complete the 9 levels associated to that frequency and chakra.”  “That sounds like a lot of work grandma. How long does it usually take to awaken each chakra? How many do I need to awaken in order to do magic?”  “It is a lot of work, but more importantly what matters most is consistency. How long it takes will depend on the latent talent that the cultivator has. Some people will spend a decade to fully awaken their first chakra and only manage to awaken 3 or 4 throughout their whole lives. Some geniuses on the other hand will be able to awaken their first 7 chakras in a decade or two.” “So what you are going to teach us is how to cultivate? When will you teach us how to do magic?”  “Be patient Teo; speaking of these things is quite taxing on this old lady. Let me breathe and recollect my energy. Yes, I will teach you how to cultivate and I will also teach you how to manipulate the elements and your electromagnetic field to do magic. I’ll teach about the different energies and how to use them for your benefit. However all this might take a very long time.” “How long do you think it will take? When will we begin?” “Well since today is sunday I was thinking we could begin tomorrow with the basics. Its very auspicious to begin new ventures on mondays.” “Tomorrow?! Yeay grandma you are the best!” “I have work tomorrow grandma. I don’t think I’ll be able to dedicate time to this besides on sundays. Besides Teo has school all week.” “Mosi, have you been paying attention at all? You won’t be going back to work and Teo won’t be going back to school either. The world that you have been living in is all a lie. I’ve come here and I’m opening both your eyes to the real world you live in. It’s time both of you start learning what you really need to know.” Mosi kept quiet after that but couldn’t avoid thinking about their future. Where would they find money and a stable income? How would they live in society? “So we will just stay here at home learning from you? No more school for Teo and no more work for me? You’ll handle our expenses?” “I already told you that I would handle your expenses and yes no more “normal” lifestyle for you two. You will start new routines and daily practices. In regards to where we will live I was hoping you two would agree to move over to the sect’s headquarters. If not the headquarters at least a safe house. Staying here is no longer safe. If I could find you, anyone can and that includes evil beings.”  “Grandma even though I really want to learn magic is there no possibility of us staying here? Do we really need to move?” “Yes Teo, it is imperative that we move. It would be best if we moved out today actually. The thing is that starting your practice while on the move is not very convenient. I guess we could stay one more week here and move next sunday. This will give you two a week to get used to your new routine. How does that sound?” “How would we move to this safehouse? Is it really okay for us to go the headquarters so soon?” “It mainly depends on you. I’ve been roaming the world for more than two decades searching for my daughter and you two. If I were to decide I would prefer moving to a safehouse because that would mean I could give you two private tutoring without any interference. However if you guys want to go to the headquarters because you feel you might need to share with other people then that would be fine as well.”  “What do you think Teo?” “Well brother I think it would probably be best if we went with grandma to a safehouse. If we will get her to teach us more we will learn quicker which would be better without a doubt.”  “Okay then, so you are okay with moving out?” “If it’s the only way then yes. Although I’ll miss our house we have grandma now; and she will surely keep us busy with all the training and learning that we’ll have coming our way.” “I’m glad both of you have reached an agreement. Then I shall give you some small pointers for tomorrow before going to bed.” “We going to bed already? What time is it?” asked a surprised Mosi. “It’s night time already?! Grandma where did the day go?!” “I told you lads that time would fly by while we were talking. Let’s have some quick dinner before I give you your instructions for tomorrow and we call it a night.” “Should we help you prepare dinner? What are we going to eat today?” Mosi was salivating while he remembered yesterday’s dinner. “No need to help me! I’m just going to prepare a quick porridge for a light dinner. That okay with you two?” “Whatever you prepare is more that okay for us grandma. I’m not a picky eater, I’ve learned with my brother that we need to eat whatever we have.” “Good kids! Food is sacred and should never be wasted. I’ll be done quickly, so you can wait in dining room or the kitchen if you wish to keep me company.” Mosi and Teo looked at each other a couple of seconds before saying that they would go with her to the kitchen.  They all moved to the kitchen and Teo was marveled at how Elisa kept getting stuff out of her bag.  “Say grandma... How can we get one of those bags? Do they come in another presentation? Like rings, bracelets or necklaces like in the novels? Or are all of them bags? How is it made?”  Elisa laughed and couldn’t help but thinking that the more she got to know Teo the more she liked him. He was just too lovable and cute!  “Your brother already told me you would be very interested in this bag but he couldn’t help it and asked me a couple of questions about it. Why don’t you ask him to tell you? That way I’ll see how much he remembers. Then I’ll answer your questions if you have any left.”  “Tell me everything brother! You didn’t tell me you had already asked about the magic bag!” So Mosi explained everything Elisa had told him about the magic beast’s leather, the magic processing, the space the bag had, and the weightlessness of the stuff inside.  “Very good Mosi! You were paying attention after all!” “Of course grandma, how couldn’t I? Something as interesting as that and everything else you’ve told us required my total attention. Besides I intended to tell Teo anyway so it was necessary for me to remember the details.” “Well I’ve got no more questions about the bag for now but there are things I still want to know. Are there other artifacts with this bags abilities? Like the ones I mentioned? Or are all spatial artifacts bags in our world?” “Yes there are Teo. There are as many kinds as you can imagine. Most of what you’ve read in your fantasy books is real in some measure. Rings, bracelets, and necklaces can be made with spatial attribute cores, also called gems. They can also be made with other magic gems with lots more work by a very advanced and experienced artifact maker with a profound understanding of space and time.”  “So they exist! They truly exist! When will I be able to get one?” “How much do you want one? And for what do you want it? I guess you know the rarity of this artifacts right?” “I can imagine they are very rare. They are also very expensive right?” said Teo embarrassedly “I was just too excited and didn’t think it through grandma, I’m sorry.”  “There’s nothing to be sorry about child. But you haven’t answered my questions yet.”  “I really really want one! I guess it’s the thing I want the most right now. Why? Well because it would allow me to carry all my things without having to make too much off an effort.” Teo’s cheeks got pink after saying that “It would make me feel like one of those main characters and heroes in my stories.”  “What are you willing to do to get one?” “Anything? What should I do? Is it actually possible to get one?”  “Well, our dinner is ready so let’s get ready to eat. We can keep talking afterwards.”
