- 4 months laterSerena let her hands glide over the smooth tabletop, admiring the light colour of the wood and the wonderful grain running through it. "Elm?" she guessed.
"You"re spot on." Maize looked genuinely impressed.
With a grin, Serena tapped the side of her head. "I pay attention when you ramble about different trees and wood."
"You"re so cute."
"Oh, yes? How cute?"
"Come here and I"ll show you."
Serena chuckled as Maize"s arms wrapped around her waist and pressed her against the edge of the table. She eagerly parted her lips to receive kisses while she marvelled at the raw strength in Maize"s muscles. The mating mark on her hip glowed hot from having Maize this close and it only added to the butterflies in her stomach.
Someone knocked on the table.
