Prologue

Tycen and Amani are mates. They have spent a lot of time wondering how having a mate would be for both of them. Fortunately they find each other and things seem to be going well until they take a spin for the worst. With enemies hiding amongst their friends and dark secrets that can destroy the entire kingdom, it's becoming increasingly hard to trust anyone. Amani: My name means peace and I am a werewolf living in Blue Moon Pack. I am 20 years old and I still haven't found my mate*scoff*. I have 3 older siblings and unfortunately, I am the last. My father is the beta of the pack so that means my older brother Nero will take over and if anything happens to him then Roman, my other brother, will take over.

Unfortunately for me, being the beta's daughter does not mean I get plenty of friends or popularity like my sister Amandine because the whole pack hates me and I'm pretty sure my siblings hate me too and they just put up with me because we're related. Apparently, I don't know my place and have no respect whatsoever but it's cool because once I find my mate, I'm leaving this place without a single glance back.

Tycen: I've been looking for my mate for 6 years now and I feel like giving up. My father wants to step down and hand over the throne to me but the council will not permit that until I have a mate to help me rule the kingdom. They suggested I mark the royal beta's daughter, Leetiana, but I refuse to make someone who isn't my mate a queen and that is why we are having a grand event inviting all girls from ages 18-23 from all the packs in the kingdom of moonblood to see if I can find my mate.

I just turned 23 so I have a lot of pressure on me right now because if I don't find my mate, I'll have to be mated to Leetiana and I'm not really thrilled knowing I might end up with someone I have no connection with.
